United Hatzalah is an all-volunteer EMS organization based in Jerusalem that uses cutting-edge technology to reach and treat people in urgent need of medical assistance. United Hatzalah Founder and President Eli Beer and EMT and former Chicagoan Yosef (Yogi) Rimel will speak about the organization’s lifesaving model and how you can help our friends in Israel. United Hatzalah has more than 2,500 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With the help of our unique GPS technology and our ambucycles, medically equipped motorcycles, our average response time is 3 minutes. Their mission is to arrive at the scene of medical emergencies as soon as possible and provide the patient with appropriate medical help until the ambulance arrives.
