The New York Times doesn’t have to look far to realize the Jill Abramson drama is not going away anytime soon.
A pro-Israel group made sure of that by putting up a gigantic sign across from the Times’ Midtown headquarters Friday, calling out the Grey Lady for being unfair to its ousted editor.
“The New York Times: Unfair to Jill Abramson? Definitely Unfair to Israel,” said the sign from the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America.
The several-story-high sign was erected directly across the street from The New York Times building on 40th Street and Eighth Avenue.
“It’s 100 percent an F-U to the Times,” said Dan Smith, who noticed the sign Friday evening.
…..The Times suffered a PR black eye last week when it let Abramson go amid allegations of pay inequity. CAMERA decided to cash in on people’s outrage at the Times by sending a clear and concise message.
Times media editor Peter Lattman tweeted a photo of the sign to his 13,000 followers as soon as he noticed it going up Friday afternoon.
