A Jordanian immigrant bent on revenge over his daughter’s marriage to a Christian killed the female Iranian activist who persuaded her to go through with the marriage, Texas prosecutors allege. According to charges filed on Wednesday in Houston against Ali Awad Mahmoud Irsan, he then killed his despised son-in-law about ten months later. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office revealed Irsan is charged with capital murder in the 2012 shooting deaths of Gelerah Bagherzadeh, 30, and his 28-year-old son-in-law .. Prosecutors say the head of the family disapproved of the marriage between daughter Nesreen Isran and Beavers and enlisted his wife, another daughter and his son to help with the two murders. Bagherzadeh was a molecular genetic technology student and an outspoken Iranian activist….Irsan shot and killed another son-in-law in 1999, but he said it was in self-defense and wasn’t charged in that case.
