Viral Video: ‘I’m That Jew’

Eitan Chitayat, a blogger for The Times of Israel, published a video on Friday “as a message of solidarity [and] hope and as a hand reaching out to any Jew anywhere to show them they’re not alone.” His inspiration for the video, which soon became anInternet hit, was primarily derived from a conversation he had with a friend living in France after the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January who was “terrified, fearful to be publicly identified as Jewish.” In fact, wrote Chitayat, “We rock.”

A few days after the hostage situation unfolded at a kosher grocery store in Porte de Vincennes, Chitayat wrote a blog post called “I’m That Jew,” which serves as the lyrical basis for the viral hit. Give it a spin:
