Nobel laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel has confirmed that he will attend Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to a special joint session of Congress on March 3, despite the boycott threat by some Democrats. Wiesel has issued a statement to run in a full-page advertisement in the New York Times and Washington Post, sponsored by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach’s organization, “This World: The Values Network.” (Boteach is a Breitbart contributor.) “As one who has seen the enemies of the Jewish people make good on threats to exterminate us, how can I remain silent?” Wiesel says in the ad. Addressing President Barack Obama, he adds: “I plead with you to put aside the politics that have obscured the critical decisions to be made. Surely it is within your power to find a solution that will permit Israel’s Prime Minister to deliver his urgent message. READ MORE
