Worried About Iranian Nuke Deal, Group Floods Senate With 57,000 Emails

The US Senate received over 57,000 emails in 24 hours from people demanding congressional review of any nuclear deal with Iran, according to a statement from Christians United for Israel (CUFI) on Wednesday. CUFI organized the grass roots email campaign in an effort to raise awareness about the lack of congressional involvement in the current negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. “Every major arms control agreement in recent history has been submitted to Congress for approval.  A deal with Iran should be no different,” said CUFI executive director David Brog. The CUFI email campaign specifically voiced support for the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015 (S.615). This legislation, among other things, directs President Obama to promptly transmit the details of any Iranian nuclear deal to Congress. READ MORE
