The Ravinia Neighbors Association (RNA) has discussed the North Shore School District 112 referendum extensively for over a year. We adopted a process for evaluating political questions that confront the​ organization, including this issue. In this case, we followed our policy by taking four distinct actions on the D112 referendum: 1) The RNA has decided to take no official position as an organization, as any one position could not represent our entire membership, 2) A straw poll of our Board members indicated that, as individuals, all oppose the referendum, 3) We wish to present the results of a membership survey, detailed below, and 4) Although we do not take a position, we have a duty to express members’ concerns and to raise awareness of issues that have not received enough attention….The Fate of Ravinia School (What Happens If I Vote ‘No’?)
