Last Wednesday, the Israeli Navy arrested 13 women as they were attempting to breach the blockade on the Gaza Strip aboard the Zaytouna-Oliva, or the “Women’s Boat to Gaza.” The women came from South Africa, Sweden, Ireland, the United States, Algeria, Norway, Spain and Malaysia. According to the group’s official website, they set out to honor “the spirit of Palestinian women”… These organizations survive and prosper because they are allowed to escape reality, and I would think it the best possible course of action to give them a healthy dose of just that. The 13 women of the flotilla need to live the life of a woman under Hamas rule and to understand the true life, heart and mind of a Palestinian woman. They must fully understand the political and military entity that they have so happily supported and enabled through their work. READ MORE
