Kushner reportedly told Flynn to contact Russians over anti-Israel UN resolution

US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and Middle East peace envoy Jared Kushner directed then-adviser Michael Flynn to contact Russian officials in a bid to quash a UN Security Council resolution regarding Israeli settlements, according to reports in US media. Earlier on Friday, Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI over his contacts with Russia, in a dramatic escalation of the probe into possible collusion between the president’s campaign team and Moscow…In a striking rupture with past practice, the Obama administration refrained from vetoing the December 2016 condemnation of Israeli settlement expansion, opting instead to abstain.
