Shelter, snacks and soldiers: War on the Gaza border

…If you’re in the Tel Aviv area you have more than minute to find shelter. So you can run if you like. Or you can shelter near the car on the ground. The real secret is that there probably isn’t a good way to do it if you’re closer to Gaza because you just don’t have time to safely pull over and leap out of the car. Back in 2009, when there was no Iron Dome and you just had to find shelter, we were taught that if you can’t get to a shelter you should shelter behind a wall or building between you and Gaza so that the trajectory of the rocket is less likely to hit you.
