Many Americans, particularly those who get their information from popular right-wing social media accounts [eg Candace Owens] and podcasters [eg Tucker Carlson], now take it as an article of faith that there are ongoing massacres of Christians in Syria. Syria’s Islamist government, which in December replaced the Assad family regime that had ruled Syria for over five decades, is generally blamed. But more prominently, the massacres are said to be the fault of the United States and Israel, and the “neocons” who allegedly control both governments. The video, filmed by soldiers from Battalion 450, is being published here for the first time, alongside an interview in which they describe how they killed the architect of the October 7 attack. The 37-second video was filmed at the end of a pursuit, during which Battalion 450 soldiers captured Sinwar in a building that received the nickname “Red House.”
