The writer James Kirchick recently published a comprehensive takedown of the execrable right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson in National Review…Kirchick’s demolition of Carlson is far better than anything I could write, so I will not contend with Carlson here. One passage, however, particularly struck me: Eight decades after the end of World War II, the fading memory of the Holocaust, the rise of identitarian thinking, and the ideological corruption of American higher education have contributed to making our country a place where growing numbers of citizens find it reasonable to blame humanity’s perennial scapegoat, the Jews, for what ails society. Carlson called his guest “enormously talented” and “more talented than I am.” When Fuentes said that his mission is to represent an America First approach to the Conservative movement, Carlson asked what “important gatekeepers” stood in the way. “It was the Zionist Jews, like Dave Rubin, like Ben Shapiro, like Dennis Prager,” Fuentes said. He claimed those Jewish men control “the media apparatus.”

JTA Heritage Foundation president stands by Tucker Carlson after host platforms antisemitism The president of the Heritage Foundation, the leading conservative think tank, defended right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson and said the group would not cut ties with him days after Carlson hosted an interview with antisemitic influencer Nick Fuentes. Kevin Roberts also said in a video on the social network X that Christians should reject calls not to criticize Israel, which he said were coming from a “venomous coalition” of “bad actors,” and that conservatives should further refrain from “canceling” Fuentes.
