Full To Capacity Jumbo Flight To Arrive In Israel Tuesday With 338 New Olim From North America

Despite security tensions in Israel, 338 new Olim (immigrants) from the United States and Canada will arrive in Israel on an Aliyah charter flight. Included in the group of Olim will be 108 inspiring young men and women who are making Aliyah and planning to serve in the Israel Defense Forces. 37 families (including 107 children), and 65 Olim moving to Israel’s periphery will also be on board.

Among the dignitaries expected at the departure ceremony in Ben Gurion airport:

· President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin
· Minister of Interior, Gideon Saar
· Chairman of the Executive of The Jewish Agency for Israel, Natan Sharansky
· Chairman of the Board of Directors of KKL-JNF, Effie Stenzler
· CEO, Jewish National Fund, Russell Robinson
· Chairman of the Israel Scouts Tzofim, Mr. Eli Ben Yosef
· Co-Founders of Nefesh B’Nefesh, Rabbi Yehoshua Fass & Tony Gelbart

This summer thousands of Olim will be making Aliyah on specially chartered El Al flights. The flights are joint ventures of Nefesh B’Nefesh, the Ministry of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption and Keren Kayemeth Le’Israel, in cooperation with The Jewish Agency for Israel, JNF-USA and Tzofim Garin Tzabar. Family and friends around the world will be able to watch a live feed of the Olim landing in Israel on Aug. 12 and follow the welcoming ceremony on a dedicated online webcast at http://www.nbn.org.il/live
