Teen Otniel killer influenced by TV show, Shin Bet says

The Palestinian teenager accused of stabbing Israeli mother-of-six Dafna Meir to death last week was influenced by Palestinian TV, the Shin Bet security agency said Sunday. The linkage between the fatal attack and the Palestinian broadcast was the latest in a string of accusations from Jerusalem that an almost 5-month-long wave of terrorism and violence is being driven by Palestinian incitement on social media and via official channels.Prior to carrying out the deadly attack, 15-year-old Morad Bader Abdullah Adais watched “Palestinian television broadcasts which portrayed Israel as ‘killing young Palestinians,’” a statement from the Shin Bet said, a week after the slaying of Dafna Meir in her home in the West Bank settlement of Otniel.
