Barring some unusual development in the next two weeks — another health scare for the Democratic nominee, some shocking new revelation about pay for play between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department, FBI agents resigning in disgust over the decision by the bureau not to seek charges over the email scandal, or a massive polling error unseen in recent history, the next president come January 20, 2017 will be Hillary Clinton. Current trends suggest a victory somewhere in the range between Barack Obama’s margins in 2008 and 2012: a 4% to 7% popular vote victory, and an Electoral College win with well over 300 votes for Clinton.
