IDF soldier killed in West Bank shooting attack; troops kill the Palestinian gunman

When a civilian security officer and IDF troops arrived at the scene and stopped a car for inspection, its occupant fired at them with a handgun and fled. ISRAEL HAYOM IDF names soldier killed during Jenin operation An Israeli soldier was killed during operations in the Jenin refugee camp late Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. He was identified as Sergeant David Yehuda Izhak, 23, from the West Bank settlement of Beit El. He was the oldest son of Moshe and Amona and a brother to six brothers and sisters, according to the head of Beit El local council Shay Alon.
