Hezbollah reportedly agrees to withdraw beyond Litani River, Lebanese reports claim

Despite Hezbollah’s declarations throughout the war, the terrorist organization has agreed to drop its demands and is ready to withdraw beyond the Litani River, Lebanon’s MTV website, which is associated with Hezbollah opponents, reported Wednesday night. The report indicated that Hezbollah agreed to establish a demilitarized zone, with all its weapons to be moved beyond the river. It was also claimed that Hezbollah no longer insists on being directly connected to events in Gaza. MTV Lebanon noted that a three-day ceasefire draft is being discussed in Lebanon, and American officials are expected to present it to Israel in the coming days. READ MORE

FDD Hezbollah Launches Lethal Strikes on Northern Israel as Lebanon Ceasefire Hints Circulate Seven people across northern Israel were killed by Hezbollah rocket fire on October 31 amid ongoing discussions to halt the war between Israel and the Iran-backed terrorist organization in Lebanon. Five people were killed by a Hezbollah attack near Metula, while two more were killed near Haifa by a separate Hezbollah barrage fired later in the day.  The latest deadly attacks come as U.S. officials Brett McGurk and Amos Hochstein are set to travel to Israel to discuss ceasefires in both Lebanon and Gaza. 

REUTERS Israel wants to enforce any Lebanon ceasefire deal, Netanyahu tells US envoys Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told U.S. envoys on Thursday that Israel’s ability to counter threats to its security from Lebanon and return displaced people to the north were key elements of any ceasefire deal with Lebanon. He was speaking shortly after a Hezbollah attack on northern Israel’s Metula killed five people including an Israeli farmer and four foreign workers, while two more civilians were killed from shrapnel near the town of Kiryat Ata, Israeli authorities said.
