Fifty of the nation’s leading security minds, all of whom have had “situation room” exposure at one time or another, have signed a public statement opposing Donald Trump’s presidential bid on the grounds that he “lacks the temperament to be president.”…It’s not the oversized double standard that stands out as much as the fact that not a single one of these esteemed judges of character has ever expended an ounce of energy to formulate a strategy to deal with radical Islam. Despite their previous positions of influence and power, our safe zone grantors have chosen instead to perpetuate the misguided policy of uncoupling jihadist violence from its 1,400-year-old Islamic roots, turning a blind eye to the burgeoning institutional and cultural infrastructure in our midst.
