Polls show that Republican support for the Donald Trump administration’s campaign to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons facilities, ballistic missile program, and other military capabilities and dismantle the Islamic Republic is over 80%. Nonetheless, there are reports of a split in the Republican Party and the Trump movement itself. Some members of the MAGA opposition are mad because, they say, Trump—and America—is being led to war by Israel. Accordingly, antisemitic agitator Tucker Carlson says that Trump’s Iran campaign is “absolutely disgusting and evil.” Former Fox News siren Megyn Kelly says that the Iran campaign “is clearly Israel’s war. JEWISH INSIDER Ted Cruz warns GOP not winning battle against right-wing antisemitism Cruz has emerged in recent months as one of the Republican Party’s most vocal critics of right-wing antisemitism. He has targeted influential commentator Tucker Carlson and his strain of isolationist, anti-Israel politics that has in recent months crossed over into overt antisemitism, though Cruz has bemoaned other Republicans’ wariness to criticize Carlson by name. At the RJC event, Cruz called Carlson “the single most dangerous demagogue in this country.” But he said that not enough of his colleagues and allies on the right are aware of the extent of the problem.
