Brad Schneider Defeats Nancy Rotering in 10th District U.S. Congress Democratic Primary

Former Illinois 10th District U.S. Congressman Brad Schneider, D-Deerfield will have a chance to take on incumbent Bob Dold yet again after defeating Highland Park Mayor in the Democratic primary Tuesday. As of 10:20 p.m., Schneider held a lead among voters in Lake County with 54.83 percent of the vote, compiling 30,382 tallies overall. Rotering’s total at the same time was 25,027, accounting for 45.17 percent of the vote. In Cook County, Schneider had a hair over 54 percent of the vote, totaling 11,121. Rotering carried 9,471 votes in Cook County areas of the 10th District, accounting for just under 46 percent of the vote. READ MORE
