Those who control the past, George Orwell famously warned, control the future. In his new book, When the Stones Speak: The Remarkable Discovery of the City of David and What Israel’s Enemies Don’t Want You to Know, author Doron Spielman brilliantly connects battles over the Jewish people’s past to present efforts to deny the Jewish state’s legitimacy. As he makes clear: The past matters more than ever. On its surface, When the Stones Speak is about the discovery of the ancient City of David, which sits just south of the Old City of Jerusalem. But thanks to Spielman’s gift for storytelling and his welcome penchant for using history to explain current events, the book is about far more than an archaeological dig…In fact, the Jewish presence in the land has been continuous, and it predates the Arab and Islamic conquests by millennia. But acknowledging this would present Zionism—the belief in Jewish self-determination in the Jewish people’s ancestral homeland—as a “liberation movement.” And this runs counter to those who hope to present Israel as an evil, imperialist transplant. READ MORE

CBN ‘When the Stones Speak’: Author Says Wave of Biblical Jerusalem’s Discoveries Threatens Israel’s Enemies The pace of archaeological finds has picked up dramatically in recent years in the City of David, just outside Jerusalem’s Old City walls. The City of David is the Jerusalem described in the Bible. CBN News talked with Doron Spielman, who has written a new book called When the Stones Speak: The Remarkable Discovery of the City of David and What Israel’s Enemies Don’t Want You To Know. Spielman recounts many of the discoveries that confirm biblical historical figures and events, and says each archaeological find is a threat to Israel’s adversaries because “There’s an assault on the Bible, and the City of David is the most dangerous thing for those deniers.” CLICK HERE TO WATCH VIDEO

“And yet, the Jewish People for the most part remain reactive, submissive observers…It is time to stop holding conferences and Zoom meetings where we all complain about how Israel and its supporters are portrayed or treated”

FUTURE OF JEWISH
Diaspora Jews are in a war, and we must be combatants
Bob Goldberg
June 9, 2025

…We are in a war, and we must be combatants. Far too many Jews, particularly in the West, seem unmoored, caught between their loyalty to Leftism and fear, unsure how to respond to a world once again uneasy with Jewish confidence. They hate politicians like Donald Trump more than they love Israel. And, at the same time, the handful of antisemitic and Israel-hating bottom feeders can no longer be rationalized by those who are loyal to conservative ideology. Indeed, for too long, Jewish groups have enabled the intellectual and political forces that are motivated by wiping out Israel. Donors, instead of building centers for Zionist thought or teaching Hebrew as a civilizational language, poured billions into Holocaust education divorced from modern Jewish sovereignty. These programs are now leading the effort to demonize Zionism. READ MORE

UK blames the messenger: “After my protest against Islamic extremism landed me with criminal charges, the verdict is in: It is now illegal to criticize Islam in Britain”

I Burned a Quran. The British Government Punished Me for Blasphemy.
Hamit Coskun
June 6, 2025

On February 13, 2025, Hamit Coskun set fire to his copy of the Quran outside the Turkish embassy in London. Coskun—an atheist who fled persecution from the Turkish authorities in 2022—was there to protest Islamic extremism in his home country. For this act, he was assaulted and knocked to the ground by a bystander, kicked by another passerby, and charged with a “religiously aggravated public order offense” by the Crown Prosecution Service. At his sentencing, a UK district judge told Coskun that his protest was “provocative,” concluding that he had been driven by “a deep-seated hatred of Islam and its followers. But in the account below, Coskun insists that he was attacking ideas, not people. He warns that the same religious authoritarianism he fled in his home country is now infecting his adoptive country, too. READ MORE

Israel-founded Paragon Solutions was sold to a private equity firm, which critics argue put Israeli cyberattack technology into foreign hands

Israeli cyber firm’s $1 billion exit endangers nation’s security, intel experts

June 11, 2025

The sale of a cyber technology firm co-founded by an ex-chief of Unit 8200, the Israeli military’s vaunted signals intelligence unit, and former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak has enraged the country’s intelligence elite, who say it endangers state security. Founded in 2019, Paragon Solutions was the brainchild of IDF Brig. Gen. (ret.) Ehud Schneorson, who commanded Unit 8200 until retiring from military service in 2017. Paragon’s principal product, spyware dubbed “Graphite,” is inserted into cell phones through messaging applications, such as WhatsApp and Telegram, with a “zero-click” technology so that the phone’s owner is unaware of the breach. At Barnard: “By not agreeing with students on Palestine, I was branded a hater of people of color, a supporter of “apartheid” and “segregation” – basically, evil”

How Campus Hamas Supporters Led Me To Judaism
Toni Airaksinen
June 4, 2025

When I began studying at Barnard College of Columbia University in 2015, I was on a full-ride scholarship. Coming from a foster-care type upbringing, I had no family. No friends in NYC. And no support system. But I was full of hope, excitement and dreams to study. But when a student knocked on my door my after I moved in with a Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions (BDS) petition against Israel, I paused. Was this a friend or foe? What was this about? I had only vaguely heard of Israel and Palestine, and I didn’t feel comfortable signing the petition. Geopolitics wasn’t my strong suit. And I barely heard about Israel or Palestine before. So, I told the girl that I couldn’t sign it till I did more research, and she left, seemingly ok with that response. Days later, she again asked me to sign the BDS petition. READ MORE

JNS Arizona governor vetoes bill to hold teachers liable for Jew-hatred in schools “Governor Hobbs is frighteningly wrong,” Morton Klein, national president of the ZOA, told JNS. Under the provisions of HB 2867, Arizona would have adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition of Jew-hatred and forbidden education officials from propagating any “antisemitism or antisemitic conduct, act or process that constitutes harassment or discrimination and that creates a hostile educational environment.”

“Welcome to Israel, Greta! Here’s your big reward!”

NATIONAL REVIEW
All the Radicalisms Combine into One
Jeffrey Blehar
June 10, 2025

…Last Thursday I promised you, my readers, that I would never write about activist snot Greta Thunberg again. Now here I am, making a liar out of myself almost immediately. But if you will allow me a brief follow-up, I am disappointed to inform you that, as predicted, the Israeli navy interdicted Thunberg’s “eco-friendly” yacht along with the rest of the Freedom Flotilla without incident, before they reached Gaza. All have been escorted to Israel, where they will be returned to their home countries. Oh well. The Israelis handled the entire affair with professional dispatch and more than a bit of media savvy (all aboard looked appropriately ridiculous). And you know what? I almost regret that, because I was hoping for public humiliation on a grand scale. I was pulling for a memorably karmic conclusion; I would have just let them land in Gaza — and abandoned them to their fate. (“My advice is to head north as fast as you can. I wish you luck with a capital F.”) READ MORE

JPOST Muddling through the ‘Madleen’: How Israel got the better of Greta Thunberg It looks like Israel, for the most part, handled the incident well; and especially in tough times like these, any PR victory must be celebrated, including getting the better of Greta Thunberg.

NEW YORK POST Greta Thunberg and ‘selfie yacht’ pals refused to watch ‘horror film of the Oct. 7 massacre’ Greta Thunberg and other detained activists on her Gaza-bound “selfie yacht” refused to watch a film detailing Hamas’ slaughter of more than 1,000 people in Israel, according to officials. “Greta and her flotilla companions were taken into a room upon their arrival for a screening of the horror film of the October 7 massacre,” Israel’s defense minister, Israel Katz, said of the group’s arrival in the port of Ashdod after they were detained about 125 miles off the coast Monday. But “when they saw what it was about, they refused to continue watching,” Katz said, according to The Times of Israel.

Trump administration slaps sanctions on four ICC judges over Israel and US cases
Jacob Magid
June 6, 2025

The Trump administration on Thursday imposed sanctions on four judges at the International Criminal Court who have been involved in proceedings against Israel and the United States. The four judges will be barred from entering the US and their assets in the country will be seized, measures typically used against officials from countries hostile to America. “The United States will take whatever actions we deem necessary to protect our sovereignty, that of Israel, and any other US ally from illegitimate actions by the ICC,” US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement. “I call on the countries that still support the ICC, many of whose freedom was purchased at the price of great American sacrifices, to fight this disgraceful attack on our nation and Israel,” Rubio said. YOUTUBE Natasha Hausdorff EXPOSES Their Blood Libel Against Israel In a searing and impassioned speech, renowned British barrister Natasha Hausdorff condemns the United Nations, the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for weaponizing international law to unfairly target Israel. Hausdorff argues that legal terms such as “occupation,” “apartheid,” and “genocide” are being deliberately twisted to attack the Jewish state, calling this a modern form of blood libel. She stresses how these biased international institutions, led by corrupt judges, are erasing history and spreading dangerous lies about Israel.

Kerstein: ‘Now that the Free Palestine Nazi movement has unleashed a full-scale terrorist campaign against American Jews, the time has come to argue about how to stop it”

NO DELUSIONS, NO DESPAIR
American Jews, don’t let it happen
Benjamin Kerstein
June 3, 2025

Now that the Free Palestine Nazi movement has made its decision to forgo its façade of “peaceful” protest and unleash a full-scale terrorist campaign against American Jews, it seems time for some kind of reckoning with what is actually happening. Put simply, the American Jewish dream is not quite over, but it is in very serious danger. If something isn’t done—such as a RICO investigation of the Free Palestine Nazis, mass arrests of its criminals, and Jewish organization for self-defense—then it will certainly be over. There is simply no way American Jewish life can continue as it has for nearly 250 years under current circumstances. For example, the other day, I went to a Jewish restaurant and saw security guards there for the first time. This would have been literally unthinkable a year ago. READ MORE

JNS Micha Danzig: The shots heard round the world Every antisemitic attack, the Passover firebombing of Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s home during his family’s Passover dinner, the recent murders of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, D.C., and this week’s firebombing attack in Boulder, Colo., which injured 12 people at a march to bring awareness to Israeli hostages still in Gaza, is preceded by words. Poisonous, malicious, libelous words. When these lies are spread, they plant seeds of hatred that too often end in violence. From ancient times to the Holocaust, antisemitic libels have fueled atrocities—from the expulsion of Jews from England in 1290 to the systematic genocide of the 6 million Jews during World War II. Today, the same pattern persists, but with a shift in focus toward Israel.

Israel has been arming a criminal gang in the Gaza Strip as part of an effort to strengthen opposition to Hamas in the enclave, defense sources confirmed on Thursday following remarks on the matter by former defense minister Avigdor Liberman. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later confirmed the report, saying the move helped save Israeli soldiers’ lives…The group in question, which is sometimes described as a militia and sometimes as a criminal gang, is led by Yasser Abu Shabab, a member of a large clan in southern Gaza. How a coalition of Philadelphia extremists aim to undermine America and fuel antisemitism

CANARY MISSION
Philadelphia’s Network of Hate
June 4, 2025

Amid the proliferation of antisemitism, anti-Americanism and extremism that disseminated across America after Hamas’ October 7, 2023 massacre of Israelis, Philadelphia stands out as a major center of concern. In this report, Canary Mission uncovers and analyzes the deeper reasons for the anti-Israel fervor that overtook the city…What we discovered was a disturbing strategy conceived by activists to turn the city into a hub of antisemitism, where support for terror was normalized. The plan used by Philadelphia’s anti-Israel/antisemitic activists involved activating three areas of civil society: Community groups and political actors, University students and professors and K-12 students and educators. JNS Philadelphia is ‘case study’ in how Jew-hatred creeps into civic life Canary Mission released a new report on Wednesday that uncovers a network of anti-Israel activists and Marxist groups that have fomented antisemitism in Philadelphia. The report, which spans more than 180 pages, profiles nearly 700 anti-Israel activists, who are part of the network and documented 77 anti-Israel events that occurred in the city between Oct. 7, 2023, and December 2024. “This is the most comprehensive investigation yet into how local infrastructure has been weaponized to promote hate,” Canary Mission told JNS of its new report.
