“Any Arab who hears American officials say that Qatar is America’s ally would burst into laughter”

The Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas and other Palestinians on October 7 could have been released a long time ago had the Biden administration exerted pressure on Qatar to use its good relations with the Islamist group to force it to do so. All Qatar had to do was to summon the Hamas leaders in Doha and give them an ultimatum to release all the hostages immediately or face deportation from the Gulf state. It is hard to see how the Hamas leaders would have been able to say no to their major political and financial patrons and backers…. The Qataris were never under the slightest pressure. READ MORE

Evangelical Christian Zionist slams Tucker Carlson’s ‘Jew-hatred’ at White House
February 10, 2025

Evangelical Christian Zionist leader Laurie Cardoza-Moore condemned conservative commentator Tucker Carlson after images surfaced over the weekend showing him posing with President Donald Trump and Elon Musk at the White House. “Tucker Carlson’s antisemitism does not reflect the values of the Trump administration,” said Cardoza-Moore on Monday, adding that Carlson “is the slightly savvier mentor of Candace Owens, peddling a new woke-right, fake-Christian form of Jew-hatred.” Cardoza-Moore, host of the syndicated television show Focus on Israel, which reaches billions of viewers globally, said she had been “inundated with calls from concerned Jews and Christians” following the images of Carlson wearing an oversized MAGA hat alongside Trump and Musk. At Chicago’s Latin School, antisemitic events leads to demand letter

Elite $46,000-a-year Chicago school rocked by anti-Semitism claims as parents threaten to sue after band taunted Jewish students by playing Nazi anthem

February 11, 2025

An elite $46,000-a-year private school has come under fire for alleged rampant bullying and anti-Semitism and parents are now demanding change or else, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively. The Latin School of Chicago is a K-12 institution with a history of privileged graduates such as Nancy Reagan and the children of Illinois billionaire Governor J.B. Pritzker. But the parents, after staying silent as problems spiraled out of control, say the bullying and anti-Semitism their children face has intensified to the point that they have hired a high-powered lawyer to force the ‘vanity board’ of trustees to act. Defense Minister Israel Katz: “Citizens of the Gaza Strip will be able to leave through land crossings, and special arrangements will be given for leaving by sea and air”

Israel Katz orders IDF to prepare ‘voluntary exit’ plan for Gazans
Inon Shalom Yttach
February 6, 2025

Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the IDF on Thursday to prepare a plan for residents of the Gaza Strip to leave voluntarily. “I have instructed the IDF to prepare a plan that will allow any resident of Gaza who wishes to leave to do so, to any country willing to receive them,” he said in an X post. Katz praised US President Donald Trump’s “bold initiative, which can create extensive opportunities for those in Gaza who wish to leave, assist them in resettling in host countries, and support long-term reconstruction efforts in a demilitarized, threat-free Gaza after Hamas—an effort that will take many years.”…”Countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway, and others, which have falsely accused Israel over its actions in Gaza, are legally obligated to allow Gazans to enter their territory. Their hypocrisy will be exposed if they refuse,” Katz said. READ MORE

Michael Oren: For decades, American policy makers have insisted that the core problem in the region is the absence of a Palestinian state. The president says: nonsense.

TABLET MAG
The End of ‘Palestine’
Lee Smith
February 5, 2025

Yesterday, President Donald Trump single-handedly collapsed the most destructive idea of the last hundred years—Palestine. During meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israel officials, Trump said he was going to move 1.7 million Palestinians out of Gaza. And just like that, he broke the long spell that had captured generations of world leaders, peace activists and Middle East terror-masters alike, who had paradoxically come to regard the repeated failure and haunting secondary consequences of the idea of joint Arab Muslim and Jewish statehood in the same small piece of land as proof of its necessity. Palestine was an misshapen idea from the beginning, engendered by an act of pure negation. The Arabs could have gone along with the UN’s partition plan like the Jews did, and chosen to build whatever version of Switzerland or Belgium on the Eastern Med in 1948. Instead, they resoundingly chose war. READ MORE

FREE PRESS Michael Oren: Trump Takes a Wrecking Ball to the Middle East Status Quo A diplomatic coup de main or more Trumpian madness? A strategic move like Trump’s threatened tariffs for Canada and Mexico-or a sincere proposal to take over a strip in the Middle East? Depending on who you ask, President Trump’s pronouncements on the Middle East, made in the presence of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, could be described either way. To review his breathtaking remarks: the President of the United States said that his country “will take over the Gaza Strip,” clear rubble and unexploded ordnance, and “develop it” into an Eastern Mediterranean Riviera.

FDD Mark Dubowitz: ‘Outside the Box’: Trump Proposes Permanent Resettlement of Gazans For centuries, millions of people have crossed borders and continents to make a better life for themselves and their children. Yet when President Trump suggests giving the people of Gaza the same opportunity — with the added benefit of international support and aid — it’s widely condemned. What stood out at Trump’s joint press conference with Prime Minister Netanyahu was his genuine compassion for the Gazans and his determination to improve their lives through a plan that would permit many of them to return once Gaza is rebuilt. Those who oppose this idea are the same people — the United Nations, the pro-Hamas solidarity movement, and many EU governments — committed to keeping the Palestinians in misery in order to wage a continued war against Israel’s legitimacy that is couched in the language of humanitarianism. Thanks to Trump, that mask has now fallen, and the opportunity to reshape the Middle East’s priorities has arisen.

UN ‘Not Living up to Potential’: Trump Signs Executive Order Withdrawing From UN Human Rights Council and Defunding UNRWA
February 4, 2025

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on February 4 that withdraws the United States from the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and prevents funding from going to UNRWA, the UN’s [perpetual] agency for the descendants of Palestinian refugees…The Trump administration previously withdrew from the UNHRC in 2018 because of the council’s anti-Israel bias and failure “to prevent the world’s worst human rights abusers from gaining … membership.” The Biden administration rejoined the council as a full member in 2022. The council maintains a permanent agenda item focusing on Israel — the only permanent agenda item focusing on a single nation — and an open-ended commission of inquiry into Israel. READ MORE

“We still remember 1972 and know its tragic story, but now that October 7 has been repackaged by certain elements of the media as ‘resistance,’ it’s especially important that ‘September 5’ be seen”

‘September 5’ relives the ’72 Munich massacre
Hannah Brown
February 2, 2025

The gripping movie, September 5, which opened around Israel on January 30, depicts how a group of journalists from ABC Sports covered the terror attack against the Israeli team at the 1972 Munich Olympics. No one could have predicted when they were making the film that it would be released when Israel was reeling from another terror attack. The Munich Olympics massacre of 11 Israeli athletes and coaches carried out by the Palestinian Black September terrorist group was the first terror attack broadcast live on television around the world…It seems that a pretty direct line can be drawn from the 1972 massacre to the 2023 one, and September 5 marks one of the first moments that terrorists were playing for the camera. That fact gives the movie special relevance. READ MORE
