Indoctrinated in Hate: ‘This Is the Start of the New Caliphate’
by Raymond Ibrahim
April 6, 2021

Hate-filled indoctrination and training in violence is not limited to the “schools” of ISIS or Boko Haram. Public schools all around the Muslim world share elements of this indoctrination. Most recently, a March 2021 study exposed how the school curriculum of Turkey — for decades one of the Muslim world’s most secular nations — is also increasingly full of jihadi propaganda. Some of the report’s “main findings” follow: “The Turkish curriculum has been significantly radicalized in recent years. Jihad war is introduced as a central value; martyrdom in battle is glorified. Islam is depicted as political, using science and technology to advance its goals. READ MORE

“Rabbi Slifkin has put together an emporium that will educate, enthrall, enchant, and enthuse visitors of all ages”

Getting to Know the Land and Animals of Israel
by Pini Dunner
April, 9, 2021

Last July, after dropping off my son Meir at the IDF draft office in Tiberias, and before I went to Ben Gurion Airport to catch my flight back to Los Angeles, I visited the Biblical Museum of Natural History at its new state-of-the-art site on the outskirts of Beit Shemesh. At the time, Israel was still deep in coronavirus lockdown, so I had the museum all to myself as I embarked on a private tour led by the museum’s founder and devoted director, the indefatigable Rabbi Dr. Natan Slifkin — who, besides being a rabbi, is also a zoologist and an authority on all living things, particularly from the perspective of traditional Judaism and Jewish history. Google scrubs a video of Florida Gov. DeSantis’s policy roundtable with physicians and scientists

To hold elected representatives responsible for decisions they make, Americans need to know what those officials and their advisers are saying. That’s an essential democratic principle, and it’s as true for coronavirus response as any other policy challenge. So it’s chilling that Google’s YouTube, through its “medical misinforma-tion policy,” appears to be systematically undermining the ability to access material in the public interest. Last September, YouTube scrubbed a Hoover Institution interview with Scott Atlas, then one of President Trump’s coronavirus advisers. In January it censored a U.S. Senate committee hearing on unapproved coronavirus treatments. Now it has taken down a video of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis holding a policy discussion with Dr. Atlas and the three creators of the Great Barrington Declaration, a group of physicians and scientists critical of strict lockdowns to fight the coronavirus. COMMON SENSE What Should Be Done to Curb Big Tech? – Common Sense with Bari Weiss I don’t think there is a group left in America who is happy about the power that companies like Facebook and Twitter and Google have arrogated to themselves. According to a recent poll from Vox and Data for Progress, 59% of Democrats and 70% of Republicans think Big Tech’s economic power is a problem. It’s hard to think of another issue with that kind of bipartisan consensus.

“CBS certainly knew it was a big lie, but that was their goal, just simply to try to smear Florida, smear me”

US SPECTATOR
The relentless campaign to smear Ron DeSantis
by Grace Curley
April 8, 2021

For over a year now, the activists who play journalists on TV have been hell-bent on destroying Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida. The press is trying, with all their might, to turn him into the second most evil man in America. The latest hit job, by 60 Minutes’s Sharyn Alfonsi, was particularly egregious because of CBS’s incredibly sloppy execution. At a press conference, Alfonsi asked DeSantis about a scandal she was desperately trying to gin up. Her spiel was this — Publix received exclusive rights to the vaccination distribution from the DeSantis administration because the grocery chain had contributed $100,000 to the governor’s PAC. Keep in mind that the director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, Jared Moskowitz, had already discredited this fake news more than a month earlier. READ MORE

“Sources admitted that Bennett does not believe Netanyahu will be able to form a government”

JERUSALEM POST
Bennett’s strategy: Make Smotrich fall guy for Netanyahu losing power
by Gil Hoffman
April 7, 2021

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will host Religious Zionist Party leader Bezalel Smotrich followed by political kingmaker Naftali Bennett at his office in Jerusalem on Thursday evening, in meetings that could determine whether he has any chance of forming a government. Sources close to Bennett said he will tell the prime minister he has his full support to form a government and is willing to compromise to make it happen. He will tell him that his plans to form a government in which he would rotate as prime minister with Yesh Atid head Yair Lapid are currently off the table. “There are no contacts and no talks [with Lapid],” a source close to Bennett said. “The king’s tough reaction — placing his popular half-brother under house arrest and accusing him of serious crimes — illustrated the limits on public dissent he is willing to tolerate”

Jordan’s king sends tough message on dissent in royal family
by Josef Federman
April 4, 2021

Jordanian authorities said Sunday they foiled a “malicious plot” by a former crown prince to destabilize the kingdom with foreign support, contradicting the senior royal’s claims that he was being punished for speaking out against corruption and incompetence. Faced with rival narratives, the United States and Arab governments quickly sided with Jordan’s King Abdullah II, reflecting the country’s strategic importance in a turbulent region. Domestically, Prince Hamzah’s unprecedented criticism of the ruling class — without naming the king — could lend support to growing complaints about poor governance and human rights abuses in Jordan. Israel to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day with memorial events, 2-minute siren
by Yori Yalon
April 7, 2021

Events for the annual Holocaust Remembrance Day got underway on Wednesday evening at a state ceremony at the national memorial Yad Vashem, in Jerusalem. Speaking at the event, President Reuven Rivlin called on Israelis to embrace Holocaust survivors as they struggle with their old age and the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. “Some 900 died because of the virus; they survived the death camp and the ghettos, the detention and the journey to Israel, but they waged their final battle behind masks, frightened,” Rivlin said…On Thursday, Israelis will observe a two-minute moment of silence as a siren will sound all across the nation, in memory of the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. Palestinians: US Taxpayer Money Going to Terrorists
by Bassam Tawil
April 6, 2021

The Biden administration’s decision to resume unconditional US financial aid to the Palestinians will allow the Palestinian Authority (PA) to continue rewarding terrorists who kill Jews, and sometimes, as “collateral damage,” others. Last week, the Biden administration reportedly confirmed to Congress that the PA has continued to use international aid money to reward terrorists and their families. The Biden administration, however, emphasized that the PA’s actions will not impact its plan to renew funding to the Palestinians. READ MORE

Meghan McCain vs. the ADL
by Kenneth Levin

The ADL has for decades been largely silent, or forgiving, vis-à-vis anti-Semitism coming from sources other than the far-right…Beyond its silence in the face of anti-Semitism emanating from groups and individuals not associated with white supremacy, the ADL has on various occasions lent its support to such groups and individuals. The Black Lives Matter organization has trafficked for years in anti-Semitism, whether calling for Israel’s annihilation or targeting synagogues and Jewish businesses during last year’s riots in Los Angeles and elsewhere. Nevertheless, the ADL was the most prominent signer of a full-page Jewish ad in The New York Times in August 2020, backing BLMREAD MORE

Is Israel an Occupying Power ?

UNPACKED
Is Israel an Occupying Power? | The Israeli-Palestinian Context
March 31, 2021

Israel’s presence in the West Bank, or Judea and Samaria, has a laundry list of labels, many of which have been built on historical assumptions and modern ideas. At the top of this list is one word that has been capitalized on by the Palestinian cause, political left, and anti-Israeli groups for decades: Occupation. In this episode, we seek to thoroughly understand how “Israeli Occupation” came to be synonymous with the call for Palestinian statehood and what this means for peace between Jews and Arabs.
