You can now see the “Palestinian” flag almost everywhere because it has metastasized into the fabric of mainstream American culture to the point where, rather than being a symbol of hatred for America and Israel, you can see it on the backpacks of American teenagers, bumper stickers, and probably, in the not-too-distant future, on cereal boxes. It is important that people understand that the “Palestinian” flag stands for the hatred and destruction of Israel and, by association, America. It stands for the murder of Americans, Israelis, Jews, and Christians everywhere, along with the destruction of Western civilization, true democracy, capitalism, and ultimately, civilization itself. In “Kissufim,” the first feature-length movie from Israeli director Keren Nechmad, actress Swell Ariel Or plays a character that has some similarities to her iconic “The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem” protagonist, Luna. Like “Beauty Queen of Jerusalem,” which takes place between the 1910s and 1940s, “Kissufim” is a period piece, taking place in 1977 in Kibbutz Kissufim, which nears the Gaza border. Or plays a young independent woman with dreams and aspirations of self-fulfillment, but unlike Luna, Eli doesn’t get to see any of those dreams come true. Or’s character Eli is based on Elian Gazit, who was killed by a grenade on a visit to Gaza’s market in 1980. READ MORE

In a submission to the ICC last week, Khan doubled down on his demands to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. He was responding to a multitude of submissions made to the Pre-Trial Chamber contesting the warrants he demands.Most of these concerned the ICC’s jurisdiction over Israel rather than the substance of his allegations which we believe, on the basis of our own extensive investigations in Israel and Gaza, are themselves without merit. Khan’s arguments in favour of jurisdiction amount to legal contortions to achieve a political agenda, reflecting the approach to Israel of this highly politicised court. They are also extremely dangerous, not to Israel alone, but to all Western democracies. Israel, like the US and many other countries, is not a state party to the ICC. READ MORE

In May, an overwhelming majority of the General Assembly asserted that Palestinians deserved full membership, a move that has been blocked by the United States, which along with Israel says recognition of Palestinian statehood must come through a peace agreement.

A Pakistani citizen has been arrested and charged with planning a terror attack in New York City with the goal of killing as many Jewish people as possible, the Department of Justice announced. Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 20, a Pakistani national living in Canada, was taken into custody on Sept. 4 and “charged with attempting to provide material support and resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization (FTO), the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS),” federal prosecutors said. Prosecutors said Khan wanted to plan the attack around Oct. 7, 2024, the one-year anniversary of Hamas’ attack on a music festival in Israel that killed at least 1,200 people, mostly civilians. Hamas Executes Six Israeli Hostages in Rafah, IDF Returns Remains to Families

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on September 1 that the bodies of six murdered Israelis were discovered in a tunnel below Rafah. The IDF found the deceased hostages approximately one kilometer away from the location where the IDF rescued Israeli hostage Farhan al-Qadi alive earlier in the week. According to the IDF, the six hostages were executed by Gaza terrorist shortly before the IDF reached them. The slain hostages are Israeli-American citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23, and Israeli citizens Carmel Gat, 40, Eden Yerushalmi, 24, Alexander Lubnov, 32, Almog Sarusi, 27, and Ori Danino, 25. So far, at least nine Israeli hostages have been discovered by the IDF in Rafah, Gaza’s southernmost town that abuts Gaza’s border with Egypt. READ MORE

It’s appalling that US President Joe Biden is blaming Israel for Hamas’s recent murder of six hostages, including American citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin. But what makes Biden’s stance even more outrageous is the fact that his administration has never taken even the most minimal steps to bring about the release of any of the Americans who were kidnapped by Hamas. What could Biden have done?…The US has been pouring aid into Gaza—$674 million between October 7 and mid-July 2024. Much of that was stolen by Hamas and used to sustain its forces, including the kidnappers who are holding Americans captive. Biden could have announced that no aid would enter Gaza until the American citizens were released. READ MORE

And they also realize that pressuring Netanyahu—and not Hamas and its enablers in Qatar and elsewhere—is part of the problem. By pursuing its vendetta against Netanyahu rather than supporting Israel, the administration has undermined U.S. interests in the region and given aid and comfort to the terrorists. Rather than supporting Israelis or the hostages, Biden and Harris are sticking to Obama’s failed formula for the Middle East that has already cost so many lives in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon and Yemen.

Hersh Goldberg-Polin’s funeral at Jerusalem’s Har Hamenuchot cemetery this Monday was packed. Crowds wearing red shirts, for HaPoel Jerusalem, Hersh’s beloved local team, flooded the road leading up to the space where mourners spoke about their loved one, waving flags and scarfs with messages from Bob Marley and against racism. There were secular and religious men and women, some waving yellow flags for the hostages, some holding or wrapped in Israeli flags. They sat on the rooftops of buildings and watched as Hersh’s parents, sisters and the country’s president speak. They walked with him on his final journey, this boy who loved to travel the world so much. They sang “El Maleh Rachamim,” a prayer of remembrance. READ MORE
