Khamenei skips state funeral held for IRGC commanders, nuclear scientists eliminated by Israel
June 28, 2025

Thousands attended a mass Iranian state funeral in Tehran on June 28 to honor Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members and nuclear scientists killed during the 12-day conflict with Israel. Several senior regime officials attended the event, including Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, Gen. Esmail Qaani. Crowds observed as trucks carrying the caskets of Gen. Hossein Salami, Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, and other eliminated figures proceeded slowly down Tehran’s Azadi Street…The deceased reportedly included 60 people, including 16 nuclear scientists and 10 senior Iranian commanders. NEW YORK POST Iran executes 6 people after speedy trials, arrests hundreds in espionage crackdown during Israeli war Iranian authorities have executed six people and arrested 700 in a nationwide espionage crackdown during its 12-day war with Israel, officials and human rights groups said. After Israel’s bombardments on Tehran’s nuclear program exposed the extent of the Jewish state’s infiltration of Iran, the Islamic republic began sweeping up residents on suspicion of treachery, with a half dozen killed in lightning-fast trials, according to the Center for Human Rights in Iran.

THE HILL Iranian ‘sleeper cells’: What to know about US warnings The Trump administration has warned of Iranian “sleeper cells” operating in America as the United States braces for Tehran’s response to strikes on three of its nuclear sites over the weekend. Sleeper cells generally refer to foreign agents who lie low, going about their seemingly normal daily life, until called on to carry out a mission or attack…Retired Gen. Wesley Clark told MSNBC he believed Iranian agents in the U.S. could “self-activate” in response to American bombings, potentially seeking to murder certain officials or blow up the electric grid. However, he said there was a “low probability” of such attacks, and that an Iran-linked militia attacking U.S. troops in the Middle East was more likely.

Trump and Netanyahu’s 2-state vision: Gaza war’s end, Abraham Accords expansion

June 26, 2025

…President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu aim to swiftly pursue fresh peace arrangements with Arab states as part of Abraham Accords expansion… They reached consensus on these fundamental principles in general terms. They plan rapid implementation, beginning with Gaza warfare termination. Gaza hostilities will conclude within two weeks, ending conditions will encompass four Arab nations (including Egypt and the United Arab Emirates) to administer the Gaza Strip, replacing the murderous Hamas terrorist organization. The remaining Hamas leadership will face exile to other countries, while the hostages gain freedom. Multiple nations globally will accept numerous Gaza inhabitants seeking emigration. READ MORE

AXIOS Netanyahu wants to meet Trump at White House after Iran war success Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to meet with President Trump at the White House in the coming weeks to celebrate the joint U.S-Israeli bombing of Iran’s nuclear program, three Israeli officials said. Despite past tensions in their relationship, the two leaders are closer than ever and see the 12-day war against Iran as a monumental achievement — both for their countries and their personal legacies. Two Israeli officials said initial discussions have already taken place between Netanyahu’s advisers and White House officials regarding a potential visit, though no date has been set yet.

REUTERS NATO’s Rutte likens Trump to a ‘daddy’ in Israel-Iran conflict Talking to reporters alongside NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at a NATO alliance summit, Trump again berated Israel and Iran. “They’ve had a big fight, like two kids in a schoolyard. You know, they fight like hell, you can’t stop them. Let them fight for about 2-3 minutes, then it’s easy to stop them,” he said. In response, Rutte laughed and said: “And then daddy has to sometimes use strong language to get (them to) stop.” On Tuesday, after a ceasefire deal, Trump had raised eyebrows by saying Israel and Iran had been fighting “so long and so hard that they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing”…“And when it comes to Iran, the fact that he took this decisive action, very targeted, to make sure that Iran would not be able to get his hands on a nuclear capability – I think he deserves all the praise.”

IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir says damage to Iran’s nuclear program is ‘systemic,’ ‘severe, broad and deep,’ and ‘pushed back by years’

Experts: Damage to Iranian nuclear sites likely far more extensive than leaked DIA report
Lahov Harkov
June 26, 2025

…CIA Director John Ratcliffe said Thursday that “a body of credible intelligence indicates Iran’s Nuclear Program has been severely damaged by the recent, targeted strikes. This includes new intelligence from a historically reliable and accurate source/method that several key Iranian nuclear facilities were destroyed and would have to be rebuilt over the course of years.”…Similarly, in a statement shared by both Israel’s government and the White House, the Israeli Atomic Energy Commission said that “the devastating U.S. strike on Fordow destroyed the site’s critical infrastructure and rendered the enrichment facility inoperable. We assess that the American strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, combined with Israeli strikes … have set back Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons by many years.READ MORE

BBC Satellite images reveal new signs of damage at Iranian nuclear sites Satellite images have revealed new signs of damage to access routes and tunnels at Iran’s underground Fordo enrichment facility which was targeted by Israel on 23 June, a day after the US dropped bunker-buster bombs on the site. Previously unseen damage is also visible near tunnel entrances at Iran’s Isfahan Nuclear Technology Centre after it was hit by the US. Meanwhile, there are signs work is already underway to fill in craters at the Natanz enrichment complex in the wake of US strikes. A leaked US intelligence document has cast doubt on the overall impact of the strikes. Media coverage of its conclusions prompted an angry response from President Donald Trump.

TIMES OF ISRAEL Mossad hails Israel’s ‘historic’ Iran offensive, thanks CIA in rare public message In a rare public message Wednesday, the Mossad hailed Israel’s “historic” operation against Iran, declaring that the longstanding Iranian threat was significantly neutralized thanks to the 12-day aerial campaign. “These are historic days for the people of Israel. The Iranian threat, which has endangered our security for decades, has been significantly neutralized,” the intelligence agency said in a statement, hailing its cooperation with the IDF and accompanying American support for the surprise offensive. “Israel, thanks to this entire security apparatus, today feels like a different country, a safer country, a braver country that is prepared for the future,” said Mossad chief David Barnea in a video accompanying the written statement.

Military expert John Spencer: Last night was not just a military achievement. It was a strategic message written in steel, silence, and sky. The era of delay and denial is over. The world has changed. Iran’s path to the bomb has been shattered, and the consequences of rebuilding it will now come at a cost they can no longer afford

Operation Midnight Hammer: The Strike That Changed Everything
John Spencer
June 22, 2025

In the dark hours of last night, the United States made military history and delivered a devastating message to the Islamic Republic of Iran. In a single, tightly coordinated mission named Operation Midnight Hammer, the U.S. executed a precision strike that may forever alter the trajectory of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Seven B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, flying from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, crossed continents in an 18-hour flight with multiple in-flight refuelings. These aircraft, invisible to radar and unmatched in their global strike capabilities, dropped 14 GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators on Iran’s most heavily fortified nuclear facilities at Fordow and Natanz. This marked the first time the 30,000-pound GBU-57 bomb has ever been used in combat. Simultaneously, two dozen Tomahawk cruise missiles struck surface targets at Esfahan in a wave of kinetic precision that formed the opening salvo of the assault. In total, 75 precision-guided munitions slammed into Iran’s nuclear infrastructure with overwhelming force. READ MORE

‘A lot to fear,’ Jewish New Yorkers say about Mamdani primary win
Vita Fellig, Andrew Bernard
June 25, 2025

New York City mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani’s victory in Tuesday night’s Democratic primary is alarming many Jews in the city who say that his anti-Israel rhetoric legitimizes antisemitism and deepens divisions…Morton Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America, told JNS that Mamdani’s electoral success portends trouble for the Jewish community in New York City. “As an American Jew and as a human, I am truly frightened that an antisemitic communist, Mamdani, has actually promoted murdering Jews by supporting and legitimizing the antisemitic rally cry ‘globalize the intifada,’ refuses to accept the Jewish State of Israel as a Jewish state and is friendly with Israel-bashing Jew-haters,” Klein said. FRONT PAGE MAG Anti-Israel Socialist Wins New York City’s Democratic Mayoral Primary According to a report by Canary Mission, Mamdani “has been a regular and prominent figure in NYC’s disruptive anti-Israel protest scene that has predominantly been engineered by Within Our Lifetime (WOL), an extremist and violent anti-Israel and anti-American group whose activists have been behind multiple attacks on Jews.” As part of his despicable attempt to target the Jewish state, “Mamdani has pledged to cut off private charitable funding and halt arms shipments to Israel, continuing the anti-Israel agenda he pursued as a state assembly member.”

COMMENTARY Seth Mandel: Brad Lander and the Collapse of NYC’s Jewish-Political Establishment Stephen Colbert can be effective at shielding left-wing anti-Semites from criticism, but he cannot hold a candle in that department to Brad Lander, who also struck a deal with Mamdani that each man’s voters would support the other as a second choice in case the primary went multiple rounds. Lander’s alliance with Mamdani, who is now the poster child for progressive anti-Zionism’s conquest of the mainstream Democratic Party, is the culmination of years of Lander’s efforts to kosherize anti-Semitism by serving as the blocking back for up-and-coming anti-Zionists as they rise within the party.

FORWARD Exclusive: Mamdani pledged to arrest Netanyahu. A poll shows how New Yorkers really feel about that Just a third of voters support the Democratic nominee’s vow to comply with an ICC warrant if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits the city

CHICAGO TRIBUNE Editorial Board: Want to know how a socialist mayor would govern New York City? Ask Chicago If New Yorkers are frustrated with Mayor Eric Adams, they should be careful not to trade him for someone who might preside over a city that is less competitive and less financially secure. Trust us — we’ve living that reality.

FREE PRESS The Mayor Who Wants to Save San Francisco from Itself But at the very moment New York is apparently embracing Zohran Mamdani’s radical chic, San Francisco is going in the other direction. The city by the bay has a new mayor, Daniel Lurie, who was effectively elected to clean up this failed experiment in extreme progressivism. San Francisco is saying, “Enough with the hippies, the ideologues, the performers. We want what works.”

For one surreal moment, I watched as the world’s most unpredictable man did the most predictable and necessary thing

A note of gratitude from a Jewish never-Trumper
Paul Mendlowitz
June 24, 2025

I never thought I’d say this, Mr. Trump – and please don’t let it go to your head – but today, I owe you thanks. I didn’t vote for you. I protested you. I laughed at your spelling, cried at your cruelty, and screamed into the void when you “truth’d” about disinfectant cures. I watched you hug flags, butcher Bible verses, and sell Trump Bibles, and confuse Iran with Iraq with a map upside-down. I am, proudly, a card-carrying member of the “Never Trump” tribe — mezuzah on the door, and more than a dozen op-eds about why you were dangerous. But today, I write with a rare and uncomfortable feeling: gratitude. Because, despite your vanity, your Twitter tantrums, your golf obsession, and your strange love letters to dictators, you bombed Iran. READ MORE

Having Faith While in Hell
Meir Y. Soloveichik
July/August 2025

This column is about faith and miracles, and it begins with an event wondrous to behold: the New York Times publishing a thoughtful, balanced, and inspiring article pertaining to the current moment in Israel. The article features an interview with Omer Shem Tov, who until recently was held in cruel captivity by Hamas. Omer, the Times tells us, “had grown up in a largely secular home, and was living a relatively carefree existence after completing his compulsory military service.” Then, on October 7, 2023, he was suddenly snatched and subjected to torture in cramped surroundings for a year and a half. It was as a hostage that Shem Tov embraced the faith of his fathers: A few days into his captivity, he said, he began to speak to God. He made vows. He began to bless whatever food he was given. And he had requests—some of which he believes were answered. “You are looking for something to lean on, to hold onto,” Mr. Shem Tov said in a recent interview at his family home in Herzliya, north of Tel Aviv.  READ MORE

Iran deployed Swedish gangs to target enemies abroad

…The documentary draws on intelligence documents, gang member testimonies and expert analysis to piece together what it called a disturbing operational pattern: Iranian operatives offering incentives in exchange for targeting designated entities. Among the top targets identified are Israeli interests and diplomatic missions and the London-based Persian language outlet Iran International. Iran International, which has a broad viewership inside Iran, has long faced threats from the Islamic Republic, but the report appeared to provide previously unreported details on Iran’s mobilization of street-level criminal networks to carry out attacks. Who Is Feras Hamdan? Doctor Who Allegedly Drove Congressman Off Road
Dan Gooding and Gabe Whisnant
June 20, 2025

Feras Hamdan, a 36-year-old Ohio doctor, turned himself in with counsel on Friday and was arrested and charged after allegedly forcing Republican Representative Max Miller off the road in a road rage incident. According to Rocky River, Ohio, police, the incident occurred on June 15 when Hamdan allegedly tailgated Miller’s vehicle, swerved erratically, and ultimately veered into his lane, causing the congressman to drive off the road to avoid a collision. Police said Miller’s wife and 2-year-old son were also in the car at the time of the incident in the suburb of Cleveland. Rocky River Police Department confirmed to Newsweek Friday afternoon that Hamdan was a doctor. He appeared in court for arraignment earlier in the day…The police report says that Hamdan allegedly honked his horn, shouted threats, and made aggressive gestures toward Miller while pursuing his vehicle. Witnesses said that Hamdan repeatedly attempted to block Miller’s car from changing lanes before forcing it off the road. READ MORE

CNN Man arrested after Ohio GOP congressman says he was run off the road and threatened Miller called police on his way to work and read the license plate of the alleged perpetrator. At one point, he held out his phone for the 911 dispatcher to hear the honking and yelling, though the sounds were largely unintelligible. “I was just driving to work and I was cut off by a man in a Tesla who held up a Palestinian flag to me and then rolled down his window and said that I’m going to cut your throat and your daughter’s. And he said you’re a dirty Jew. I’m going to f**king kill you all, and I know who you are and where you live,” Miller said in the transferred call.
