Israeli Delegation Heads To Moscow To Present Findings Over Downed Russian Jet
by Charles Bybelezer
September 20, 2018

An Israeli delegation led by the head of the air force left for Moscow Thursday morning to present preliminary findings of an investigation into this week’s downing of a Russian jet in Syria. Fifteen Russian servicemen were killed when their military transport plane was struck by Syrian defense missiles in the wake of an Israeli attack on a weapons manufacturing facility in Latakia. The Russian Defense Ministry immediately laid blame squarely on Israel’s shoulders, but President Vladimir Putin later defused what was shaping up to be a major diplomatic crisis by attributing the event to a “chain of tragic circumstances.” READ MORE

Netanyahu, Putin talk amid tensions over downing of Russian spy plane’
by Agencies and Staff
September 18, 2018

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke Tuesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin amid rising tensions between the two countries after a Russian spy plane was shot down by Syria during an Israeli airstrike. “The prime minister, in the name of the State of Israel, conveyed sorrow over the deaths of the Russian soldiers and said that the responsibility for downing the plane falls on Syria,” a statement from Netanyahu’s office said. On Monday Syria accidentally shot down the Russian plane, killing all 15 crew members, when its air defenses swung into action against an Israeli strike. The Russian defense ministry blamed Israel, saying the IAF jets used the Russian plane as cover. READ MORE

International media dehumanize (or ignore) Ari Fuld and rationalize his murder

FORWARD
Ari Fuld Was Not A ‘Settler’ — He Was An Innocent Victim Of Terror
by Micha Danzig
September 17, 2018

Settler. That is what the international media apparently thinks is most important in this terrible story, followed closely by the idea that Fuld was stabbed in the “occupied West Bank” or near an “illegal settlement.” These descriptions and headlines not only dehumanize the victim by casting him as a faceless “settler,” but also seek to rationalize the murder itself; as if murdering in cold blood a Jew in Judea is somehow less despicable than murdering a Jew in Tel-Aviv, Herzliya, New York or Paris. By this logic, if a Jew lives in Judea and Samaria, then, the Jewish murder victim is not a normal human being whose life is sacred and precious. READ MORE

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Paul Miller: Ari Fuld and Jewish victimhood …Fuld’s death is a tragedy. His wife is a widow and his four children have lost their dad. The fact that he died while his assailant survived cries injustice. On Sunday morning, Jabarin [Fuld’s murderer] set out to murder Jews, only to have his life saved and to be treated for his injuries by the very people he wanted to kill. Ironic? Yes. But it exemplifies the Israeli ethos of respect for all human life, in stark contrast to Israel’s enemies that celebrate the murder of innocents.

ALGEMEINER New York Times Finds Ari Fuld’s Murder Not Fit to Print So it is this week with the murder of Ari Fuld, an Israeli-American whose fatal stabbing on Sunday by a Palestinian Arab the Times has so far deemed not fit to print. search for “Ari Fuld” on the Times website turns up a wire-service report by Reuters and another by AP. But there’s no staff-written report by the Times. The wire service reports did not make it into Monday or Tuesday’s print version.

President Trump’s coming collision with the United Nations could be something to behold. Later this month he’s due to chair the Security Council, where he may give the striped pants set a piece of his mind in respect of Iran. He’s barreling toward a showdown with the International Criminal Court. He’s cut off funding to the UN Relief and Works Agency. Watch out for the International Monetary Fund. READ MORE

Ari Fuld, Efrat dad of 4, stabbed to death by Palestinian at shopping center

JERUSALEM POST
Israel Mourns Ari Fuld
by Tovah Lazaroff
September 17, 2018

Ari Fuld, 45, left his home for a routine shopping trip and became a national legend for the way he shot a terrorist after he himself was mortally wounded near the Rami Levy supermarket in the Gush Etzion junction. The father of four, Fuld was the grandson of a Holocaust survivor and had miraculously dodged a bullet while serving as an IDF soldier in Lebanon. “If there is one word to describe my brother, it was a hero,” his brother Moshe told the thousands of mourners who surrounded the small chapel on the edge of the Kfar Etzion cemetery just after midnight on Monday. READ MORE

TIMES OF ISRAEL PA hasn’t yet paid family of terrorist who killed Fuld, but they’ll be eligible Official denies Israel TV report that claimed the Jabarin family already received an advance, but says there’s no secret ‘about our support for our prisoners’

MELANIEPHILLIPS.COM A great and unspeakable evil This murder has hit Israelis hard. Ari Fuld was but the latest in the unending procession of Jews who have been murdered in the Arab war of extermination against Israel. Each of these murders is an unspeakable tragedy. But the murder of Ari Fuld has caused particular grief because he was a fighter for his people – a selfless, tenacious Israel patriot who worked tirelessly and put his life on the line to stand up for the rights of the Jews in their historic land and to protect them from harm. And now he is fallen, a victim himself of that very harm.

L’affaire Sarah Halimi: France’s Jews “no longer feel safe even in their homes”

Journalist investigates wholesale denial of pivotal anti-Semitic murder in Paris
by Robert Sarner
September 16, 2018

Journalist Noémie Halioua’s life hasn’t been the same since she answered an unexpected call last year in her office at Actualité Juive, a Paris-based Jewish weekly where she works as culture editor. On May 18, 2017, as she was about to eat lunch at her desk, the phone rang. An unfamiliar male voice asked Halioua if she were a journalist and if she recognized the name Sarah Halimi. Six weeks earlier, during France’s presidential election campaign, Halimi, a 65-year-old Orthodox Jewish woman, was savagely murdered in her Paris apartment by a neighbor. READ MORE

“From Dianne Feinstein to John Kerry to Maxine Waters to Cory ‘Spartacus’ Booker, Democrats are losing their marbles”

NATIONAL REVIEW
Descent into Progressive Madness
by Victor Davis Hanson
September 18, 2018

…In publicizing the letter anonymously at first, Feinstein apparently had lots of aims besides blowing up the Kavanaugh sure-thing nomination. In the new progressive world of Julia Salazars and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezes, Feinstein also wants to strut her ossified progressive fides. That is, she seems desperate to remind California voters that while she may be an 85-year-old white woman, married to a hyper-capitalist billionaire, and a longtime resident of a 20-million-dollar Pacific Heights mansion, she is still a growling hard-left and partisan lioness in winter. CHICAGO TRIBUNE John Kass: Eviscerating Kavanaugh: Sen. Feinstein, have you no sense of decency? Watching the slow, public evisceration of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by Senate Democrats —on the strength of one unsubstantiated charge of alleged sexual aggression 36 years ago when Kavanaugh was in high school — a question comes to mind: Have you no sense of decency, Sen. Feinstein? Decency was once an important feature of the Democratic Party’s story. Long before Bork became a verb, long before Clarence Thomas was dragged through the mud because a conservative black man proved a profound threat to Democrats, the party held fast to the notion of decency.

“By closing the PLO mission, Trump, Bolton, and all the rest of the president’s men have rolled the Palestinian issue 30 years back in time to where it stood in the 1980s”

Putting the PLO in its place

…[EU foreign policy chief Federica] Mogherini and [U.S. National Security Adviser John] Bolton are an ocean apart, and not only in the geographical sense. A thousand years would be insufficient for the continent in whose name Mogherini speaks to pay its historic debt to the Jewish people. And still, the EU foreign policy chief stands at the head of the anti-Israel front, mixing up politics with law and justice in accordance with traditional European hypocrisy. On the one hand, she allows illegal African migrants to drown at sea or be slaughtered by Libyan militias. On the other, she preaches morality to Israel. And only to Israel. READ MORE
