Mark Steyn: “I’m shocked, shocked not to find Yentl playing at Cinema Keffiyeh”

Never Mind the Bollocks, It’s Islam

October 20, 2025

I’ve had a rough few days and have emerged from a cloud of medication to a barrage of intemperate emails from British readers demanding to know what I make of Jews being killed on the streets of Manchester, Jews being forbidden from attending footie matches in Birmingham, and Jews being arrested and interrogated for ten hours for perambulating the streets of London while wearing visible marks of their faith. Well, obviously, I’m shocked, shocked to find Jew-hate going on at Rick’s Café Keffiyeh. Demography isn’t everything but it’s a good ninety per cent – especially if your public discourse, as at the BBC et al, won’t permit you even to notice the demography. Sir Keir Starmer professes to be so outraged by the ban on Maccabi Tel Aviv fans attending the match in Birmingham that he has demanded the West Midlands Police and other “authorities” revisit the issue. Yeah, good luck with that. READ MORE

THE SPECTATOR Anti-Jewish sentiment has poisoned our police In the video obtained by the Telegraph, the interviewing officer alleges the suspect got ‘very close’ to pro-Palestine protesters and that his actions went ‘beyond observing to provoking’. He can then be heard asking the suspect: ‘What necklace are you wearing?’ The suspect, flustered, explains that it’s a Star of David. His solicitor objects to the question and, after a brief pause, the interview continues. The constable says he was not intending to offend, but was reflecting the fact that fellow police officers had ‘noted in their statements that because the Star of David was out and present to people… they felt that was antagonising the situation further’…In all, the suspect [THE JEW] spent almost ten hours in custody and remains on bail.

“The anti-AIPAC movement has found success on the left but it is not limited to that side of the aisle. The far left and far right have for some time been pushing for the American organization to be forced to register as a foreign agent.”

Democrats’ Ugly War on AIPAC
Seth Mandel
October 17, 2025

…Winking at these conspiracy theorists is all the rage among Democratic officeholders with higher aspirations. Rep. Ro Khanna, a California progressive who mostly talks about Jeffrey Epstein when he’s not badmouthing AIPAC, is likely to run for president in the next cycle. Yet to Khanna’s credit, his hatred of AIPAC and his desire to capitalize on his base’s suspicions of the group haven’t stopped him from at least slapping down the claim that AIPAC should register as a foreign agent. “They’re American citizens,” Khanna has said. “If you’re an American citizen and you’re articulating a point of view, that’s your right. … They’re American citizens. They’re lobbying for their interests. They’re lobbying for the Netanyahu government’s interests because they think that’s what benefits America.” READ MORE

“Bari Weiss has reportedly made waves as CBS News editor-in-chief since taking the position two weeks prior”

NEW YORK POST
‘Woke’ CBS News standards chief is Bari Weiss’ ‘first scalp,’ as new boss remakes network
Alexandra Steigrad
October 16, 2025

The head of CBS News’ standards and practices unit — who presided over some of the network’s recent controversial, woke reporting — is out as new boss Bari Weiss looks to bring more balance to the left-leaning network. Claudia Milne, who ran the division responsible for the moral, ethical and legal implications of CBS programming, is the first senior executive to leave the network since Weiss arrived as editor in chief earlier this month…Another surprising moment in which Milne played a part was last year’s criticism of “CBS Mornings” co-host Tony Dokoupil after he grilled author Ta-Nehisi Coates over his one-sided polemic against Israel, which the writer compared to an “apartheid” state. FOX NEWS Bari Weiss reportedly ‘stunned’ ’60 Minutes’ crew by asking why the country thinks they’re ‘biased’: report. CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss allegedly “stunned” the staff behind CBS’ “60 Minutes” by asking them why they believed people considered them biased, a new report claimed Sunday. The New York Times reported about a meeting between Weiss and the staff on Tuesday ahead of an upcoming episode of the news program…Weiss reportedly has taken a more hands-on approach to leadership by helping to personally book network guests herself, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Middle East policy advisors Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.

DETROIT NEWS CNN’s future at stake as owner Warner Bros. Discovery seeks sale Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of CNN and HBO, announced that it’s open to a sale, leaving its news and streaming subsidiaries’ futures uncertain. David Ellison, whose company Skydance recently took over Paramount, has reportedly expressed interest in bidding for Warner Bros. Discovery. Ellison recently spent $150 million to buy Bari Weiss’s website, the Free Press, and named the conservative writer editor in chief of CBS News. An acquisition would place CNN and CBS, two legacy news brands, under the same roof.

Weisel: “By propagating lies about ‘occupation,’ ‘apartheid’ and ‘genocide,’ Mamdani helps promote antisemitism”

WALL STREET JOURNAL
A Mamdani Mayoralty Threatens New York’s Jews
Elisha Weisel
October 21, 2025

…Mr. Mamdani’s messaging has made class war and hatred of Jews great again. Smiling, polished, articulate, Mr. Mamdani lies. He lies about Israel as easily as he lies that he can freeze rent and offer free goods through higher taxes, as though the corporations and billionaires he targets can’t relocate. New Yorkers aren’t dumb, but we’re busy. Mr. Mamdani is lying to those too busy to learn the truth. His attack points: “occupation,” “apartheid,” “genocide.” The casualties: truth, friendships, coexistence for New York’s Jews. Unlike Andrew Cuomo, he seeks to “other” us and divide the city. CANARY MISSION Inside the DSA Machine: The Mamdani Threat America stands at a crossroads. Both the Woke Left and Woke Right are exerting outsized influence over the political center, reshaping the national conversation at an alarming pace. Against this backdrop, New York City is heading into its most consequential mayoral election since 1993, when the city faced a crisis of crime, economic instability and political upheaval. Today, the challenges are just as urgent: skyrocketing cost of living, worsening public safety, deteriorating public services and a widening ideological divide intensified by the rise of Zohran Mamdani. His campaign embodies the agenda of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Mamdani does not simply represent a left-wing alternative. He represents a movement that openly despises America, glorifies violence and terrorism, and seeks to dismantle the police and other institutions that keep citizens safe.

Canary Mission documents people and groups that promote hatred of the USA, Israel and Jews. We investigate hatred across the North American political spectrum, including the far-right, far-left and anti-Israel activists. Every individual and organization has been carefully researched and sourced. You can help expose hatred by alerting us to antisemitic activity on your college campus and beyond.

For two dark and often hopeless years, Israelis rallied to keep the hostages in the headlines. It worked.

They Are Home

October 13, 2025

…At Saturday night’s rally, though no hostages had actually been released yet, the atmosphere was valedictory. The Israelis who rallied over the past two years under the banner “Bring Them Home,” and whose energies kept the hostages and their families in headlines in Israel and abroad through two dark and often hopeless years, allowed themselves to smile and cheer, waving Israeli and American flags. Trump may have been passed over by the Nobel Peace Prize committee last week, but here they waved signs reading “Trump Is Our Winner.” The two Israeli goals in the Gaza war have been to destroy Hamas as a military force and free the hostages. It became clear early on, however, that achieving both at once would be impossible, and polls have repeatedly shown that a majority of Israelis think the second goal is more important. READ MORE

Two days after he was released from two years of brutal torture in Hamas captivity, 22-year-old IDF tanker Matan Angrest shared a shocking yet inspiring account of his time in the tunnels in Gaza. Angrest, who was abducted during a heroic battle in Nahal Oz on October 7th, 2023, recounted how he kept his spirits up with daily prayers, strong faith, and unwavering hope. “It was clear to me that I’d get out of captivity,” he said, “The place I was in was bombed, but I wasn’t hurt; it was a series of miracles…Angrest, who survived the initial explosion and was the only soldier to exit his tank alive, was abducted and taken to the Gaza Strip. His mother, Anat, shared this week that “Matan underwent very severe torture, “which included severe burns on his right arm and fingers, harm to his vision, and unlivable conditions. READ MORE

The Arab states that screamed “genocide” at Israel were simultaneously deepening security ties with the IDF — because they all knew it was a lie

WASHINGTON POST
Arab states expanded cooperation with Israeli military during Gaza war, files show
David Kenner
October 11, 2025

Even as key Arab states condemned the war in the Gaza Strip, they quietly expanded security cooperation with the Israeli military, leaked U.S. documents reveal. Those military ties were thrown into crisis after Israel’s September airstrike in Qatar, but could now play a key role in overseeing the nascent ceasefire in Gaza. Over the past three years, facilitated by the United States, senior military officials from Israel and six Arab countries came together for planning meetings in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan and Qatar. WALL STREET JOURNAL A Coordinated Squeeze Play Forced Hamas to Accept a Deal It Didn’t Want Egypt and Qatar told [Hamas leader] Hayya the deal was his last chance to end the war, according to the officials. They pressed Hamas to understand that holding the hostages was becoming a strategic liability, giving Israel a source of legitimacy to keep fighting. The next day, joined by Turkey, they warned him that if Hamas didn’t approve the plan it would be stripped of all political and diplomatic cover; Qatar and Turkey would no longer host the group’s political leadership, and Egypt would stop pressing for Hamas to have a say in Gaza’s postwar governance, the officials said.

THE TELEGRAPH Charles Lipson: Trump Has Moved the Middle East’s Tectonic Plates– It’s a nightmare for Putin, Xi, and the Mullahs All of them hated Jews and they hated the Jewish state. But that was hardly new. They passed that venomous hatred down to generations of children. It was the heart of their “educational” curriculum. If their hatred is constant, what changed to prompt the attacks on October 7? The answer was the looming prospect of Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords, partnering with Israel, and isolating both the terrorists and Iran. In the months leading up to the attack, the Saudis had repeatedly hinted that they were about to conclude a deal with Israel. They had already encouraged their smaller allies to join the accords to test the local reaction. So far, so good.

Oren: “How did a group of real-estate moguls bring peace to the Middle East?”

How Three Businessmen Negotiated for Peace
Michael Oren
Oct 16, 2025

…But Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner—all adept at developing urban properties and golf resorts—seem to have succeeded where generations of aspiring peacemakers failed. How? The answer is precisely that the Trump team is not a group of Middle East experts operating under the misconception that no Arab state would make peace with Israel before the creation of a Palestinian state. Neither Trump nor his envoys subscribed to the mainstream nostrum that Israel’s response to the terrorists trying to destroy it should be to cower under anti-missile batteries…They never accepted the myth that the way to end the war was to cut off arms supplies and military aid to Israel, isolate it internationally, and expose it to charges of war crimes and genocide.READ MORE

JEWISH INSIDER Trump receives hero’s welcome as hostages return to Israel President Donald Trump gave a victory speech in the Knesset as the final 20 living hostages returned to Israel from Gaza on Monday, in accordance with the first phase of his plan to end the war. Israeli television stations showed a live screen, with Air Force One landing at Ben Gurion Airport on one side, and IDF vehicles carrying freed hostages… Trump was given a hero’s welcome in the Knesset, where he was met with an honor guard and current and former lawmakers gave him a lengthy standing ovation.  “The hostages are back – it feels so good to say it!” Trump said.

“Crowds dancing in streets expose famine hoax as terrorist leaders view ceasefire only as tactical pause”

WASHINGTON TIMES
Gaza celebrates while Hamas prepares for next war
Clifford May
October 14, 2025

Gazans are celebrating. For the past few days, large crowds of healthy, energetic men, women, and children have been cheering, dancing in the streets, and chanting “Allahu Akbar!” – all recorded on their fully charged cell phones. These scenes make clear that there’s no Israeli-engineered famine in Gaza, much less a genocide. Of course, the propagandists behind these hoaxes will continue to slander Israelis. They’ll say: “Who are you going to believe – us or your lying eyes?” Their defamation campaign is intended to justify and, indeed, incite a Holocaust in the Middle East on par with the Holocaust carried out in Europe less than a century ago.
