Manchester’s Yom Kippur terror attack highlights that Britain failed its Jewish community

The crisis of antisemitism in Britain has reached a devastating new low. British Jews have been attacked on the holiest day of their religious calendar. For Jews and their allies in Britain, this attack hardly comes as a surprise. Many of those reacting with shock to these antisemitic murders do not realise that they represent the latest in a string of incidents where British Jews have been attacked and intimidated. In schools, hospitals, and now even synagogues, Britain has thoroughly failed to protect its Jewish community. It is time for all of us outside the Jewish community to reckon with this failure and urge our leaders to take antisemitism seriously. Many in the Jewish community have taken time after this heinous attack to stress that it did not come from out of the blue. READ MORE

“It’s not clear whether the US will be willing to discuss Hamas’s proposed amendments, as US special envoy Steve Witkoff refused to do so the last time the terror group responded with a “Yes, but.” The top Trump aide recalled US negotiators from Doha and Israel followed suit.

Hamas slated to respond ‘positively’ to Trump Gaza plan, but request changes
Jacob Magid

Hamas will reply “positively” to US President Donald Trump’s proposal for ending the war in Gaza, while submitting a series of amendments, a source familiar with the negotiations told The Times of Israel on Thursday, adding that the response could come within hours The source told The Times of Israel that Arab mediators from Egypt, Qatar and Turkey have been holding productive talks with Hamas leaders in Doha about the plan, which US President Donald Trump unveiled on Monday. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepted the proposal, and Arab countries have praised Washington’s efforts. The source said that Hamas’s amendments will be aimed at softening some of the proposal’s terms that Netanyahu had added at the 11th hour regarding the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and Hamas’s disarmament. ISRAEL HAYOM Mediators race to bypass Hamas objections to Gaza plan Disagreements within Hamas leadership are blocking a decision on President Trump’s peace plan, and mediators are working to break the deadlock. Their proposal: Hamas would accept the plan in principle, followed by an international conference to discuss its details. Hamas is demanding a ceasefire the moment it gives that initial approval, while Israel insists on full agreement from Hamas and all other Palestinian factions.

MEDIA LINE Trump Lays Out Powerful Plan To End Gaza War, While Warning Hamas To Accept Terms President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday rolled out a sweeping proposal at the White House to halt the war in Gaza, free the remaining captives within days, and stand up a new security and governing architecture for the enclave. The plan is designed to stop the fighting through a time-bound hostage deal and a verified IDF pullback while an international mission moves in to police the territory and a technocratic Palestinian team restores basic governance. The US president said Arab states were prepared to help carry out security tasks and reconstruction; Israel signaled it would support the framework if Hamas agrees.

JNS Jonathan Tobin: Trump gives the Palestinians another opportunity to choose peace The president’s plan could end the fighting in Gaza and free the remaining hostages. But it depends on a belief that Israel’s foes are willing to give up their genocidal fantasies.

“Everything written here is from a place of deep love for Israel and the Jewish people,” added Kirk, who defended Israel when speaking on college campuses as part of his duties leading Turning Point USA”

NEW YORK POST
Charlie Kirk wrote of his ‘deep love’ for Israel in letter to Netanyahu about how to counter rising opposition to the Jewish state in the US
Josh Christenson and David Propper
September 29, 2025

Assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu how to counter “anti-Israel sentiment” among Gen Z and win the “information war” being waged against the Jewish state, according to a letter obtained by The Post. Kirk wrote to Netanyahu in the May 2 missive that he was alarmed by “anti-Israel and anti-Semitic trends” hitting “record levels on social media” since one of his “greatest joys as a Christian is advocating for Israel and forming alliances with Jews in the fight to protect Judeo-Christian civilization.” “My team and I have spent months analyzing these trends and debating ideas that could help you and your country pushback [sic] against these disturbing developments,” he said in the letter, reproduced in full below for the first time. FORWARD Before his death, Charlie Kirk told Netanyahu that Israel faced a ‘5-alarm fire’ over PR strategy “I’m accused of being a paid apologist for Israel when I defend her; however, if I don’t defend Israel strongly enough, I’m accused of being anti-semitic,” Kirk wrote. “I know you’ve got a 7 front war and my kvetching pales in comparison. But I’m trying to convey to you that Israel is losing support even in conservative circles. This should be a 5 alarm fire.”

Documents from Gaza show Hamas’s ‘direct involvement’ with aid flotilla, Israel claims
Emanuel Fabian
September 30, 2025

Hamas documents recovered by Israeli troops in Gaza allegedly reveal the terror group’s “direct involvement” in an activist mission currently sailing dozens of boats to challenge Israel’s blockade of the Strip, Israel’s Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday. In a statement, the ministry claimed that the documents “show a direct link between the flotilla leaders and the Hamas terrorist organization,” especially the group’s foreign arm, the Palestinian Conference for Palestinians, or PCPA. The PCPA ‏was established in 2018, and according to Israel, “functions as Hamas’ representative body abroad, operating de facto as Hamas’ embassies.” PCPA was designated by Israel as a terror group in 2021, due to its being a Hamas arm…The 47-boat flotilla is currently some 150 nautical miles from Gaza, according to the organizers, and is set to reach the Strip this week. It is carrying dozens of activists, including Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg. READ MORE

IDF Oct. 7 probe finds IDF failed to defend Kibbutz Gevim, terrorists failed to infiltrate kibbutz
James Genn
September 30, 2025

While Hamas was unsuccessful in its attempt to infiltrate Kibbutz Gevim during the October 7 massacre, the military failed in its mission to defend the kibbutz, according to the IDF’s findings released on Tuesday. The army’s probe found that the kibbutz’s emergency standby squad operated “optimally” throughout the events, which allowed for the continued defense of the kibbutz until organized military forces arrived on October 8. Singling out the efforts of the kibbutz’s security coordinator, the IDF said that he was able to return fire against the terrorists trying to infiltrate the kibbutz, disrupting their efforts, despite being severely wounded. The investigation noted that a group of eight Hamas terrorists had attacked the kibbutz. READ MORE

This is what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu probably won’t say when he addresses the United Nations General Assembly on Friday, but should.

I wrote Netanyahu’s UN speech.
Joshua Hoffman
September 26, 2025

.. You call yourselves the “United Nations,” but there is nothing united about you. Dictators sit alongside democrats, terror sponsors sit alongside their victims, and human rights abusers sit in judgment of those who defend freedom. This hall, more often than not, does not unite the nations of the world; it divides them, distorts them, and drags them down. The founders of this body dreamed it would prevent the scourge of war and safeguard the dignity of all people. Instead, it has become a playhouse where the persecutors outvote the persecuted. The “united” in the name “United Nations” has become a farce — unless, of course, you’re united in your baseless hostility toward Israel. READ MORE

“If Qatar really wanted to end the Gaza war, it could have done so long ago. Qatar could have issued an ultimatum to the Hamas leaders in Doha to release all the Israeli hostages kidnapped on October 7, disarm, and then cede political and military control of the Gaza Strip”

Qatar Must Apologize for Supporting Islamist Terrorist Groups
Khaled Abu Toameh
October 2, 2025

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly “apologized” to his Qatari counterpart for violating the Gulf state’s sovereignty in Israel’s September 9 strike against Hamas leaders in Doha. The alleged apology took place in a September 29 phone call arranged by US President Donald J. Trump. If anyone needs to apologize, it is Qatar, which has long been financing, hosting, and advocating for Hamas and other Islamist terror groups such as the Islamic State (ISIS) and Al-Qaeda. Qatar, in fact, needs to apologize not only to Israel, but to several Arab countries affected by the Gulf state’s support for Islamist terror groups...Qatar is not – and never was – an impartial mediator in the Hamas-Israel war. As a longtime sponsor of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist terrorist groups, Qatar’s main goal is to ensure that Hamas, possibly under a different guise, continues to play a key role in the Palestinian arena. Among the planes that attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities this summer was an old and antique F-15 that the Americans transferred to Israel mainly for spare parts

The plane that came back from the dead and stunned the world
Avi Ashkenazi
September 26, 2025

“One man’s trash is another man’s diamond.” This old proverb found new life in Operation Rising Lion, when a refurbished F-15, nicknamed the “Man of Steel”, stunned the US military by being among the first planes to attack Iran’s nuclear and missile facilities. Once destined for the scrapyard, this one time American fighter jet was reborn through the grit and ingenuity of Israel’s Air Force technicians-both conscripted and reserve forces, directly affecting all of the Israeli Air Force’s moves, and the outcome of the war. The story begins over seven years ago, when the US Air Force handed over seven aging F-15s to Israel. Built in the late 1970s, these aircraft had logged tens of thousands of flight hours and participated in numerous American military operations. Four arrived by air, three by sea, and all were intended to be dismantled for spare parts, never to fly again. READ MORE

Apple TV+ postpones a Jessica Chastain thriller inspired by secretive ADL unit

Apple TV+ has delayed the release of “The Savant,” a show starring Jessica Chastain that puts a spotlight on the secretive division within the Anti-Defamation League charged with infiltrating online hate groups to stop real-world violence. Originally set to begin streaming Friday, the series was postponed without an explanation, but The New York Times reported that the company hesitated to move forward with the premiere in the wake of conservative pundit Charlie Kirk’s assassination earlier this month and the charged political atmosphere that has followed. The assassination took place the same day as a school shooting in Colorado, allegedly by a gunman whose online activity had been flagged by an ADL extremism monitor — and as federal funding cuts have challenged the extremism monitoring sector.
