United Nations anti-Israel campaign “emboldens the radicals among the Palestinians, including the Iranian-backed Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, whose declared goal is to eliminate Israel and replace it with an Islamist state”

The Apartheid Libel to Destroy Israel

December 12, 2022

Many of Israel’s adversaries, including the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), have long attempted to stamp Israel with the false label of “apartheid”. Recently, however, with the UNHRC’s persistent allegations that Israel is an apartheid state, that label is being pushed even further in an apparent effort to make it stick. The complicity of recent reports from NGOs such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch appear to be trying to ensure that their libel will be complete. These allegations are part of an ongoing massive campaign of incitement waged by the Palestinians and anti-Semites around the world to invalidate the State of Israel and vilify Jews. READ MORE

A woman makes a frantic journey from the southern city of Basra to the Royal Palace in Baghdad. Her name is Aliza (Alice) Adas. She is Shafiq Adas’s wife and will soon be his widow. Waiting for her inside the palace is the Hashemite prince Emir ‘Abd al-Ilah, the head of the Iraqi Royal Family. She genuflects before him, falling to the ground and kissing his feet. Little does she know in this moment that hanging in the balance is not only her husband’s life, but also the fate of the whole Jewish community. It was September 1948. READ MORE

Three Palestinian gunmen were killed during intense clashes with Israeli troops in the northern West Bank city of Jenin before dawn on Thursday, Israeli and Palestinian officials said. The Israel Defense Forces said troops came under “accurate gunfire” when they entered the city and the adjacent Jenin refugee camp to arrest three wanted terror suspects. A local wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group claimed to have opened fire on Israeli troops and hurled explosives at them. Heavy gunfire could be heard in videos published online. On Monday night, an Egyptian television reporter covering the World Cup tournament in Doha, Qatar was assaulted by an angry mob and forced to leave the games to avoid being lynched. The mob assaulted him because they mistook him for an Israeli reporter. Qatari officials were reportedly embarrassed by the incident. They weren’t embarrassed about the crowd’s violent anti-Semitism, though. The Qataris were embarrassed because their officials hadn’t believed the poor Egyptian when he insisted he was one of them. And so, they stood by as the mob gave him the “Israeli treatment.”From the moment they touched down in Doha to cover the World Cup, Israeli reporters have been showered with hatred. READ MORE

…If you ask, what is my goal now? The first thing is to prevent Iran from annihilating us. Number one, that’s simple. The second is to expand the circle of peace beyond our imagination. Saudi Arabia would be a tremendous achievement, to have peace with them, because it would effectively end the Arab-Israeli conflict. Not the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Remember, the Palestinians are one to two percent of the Arab world, but they’re the tail that’s wagging the Arab body. I’ll get there, too, but I think that it’ll be easier to get there if you end the Arab-Israeli conflict and leave that one to two percent. READ MORE

UN leader: IHRA definition is “wielded to prevent or suppress legitimate criticisms of the State of Israel”

FOUNDATION FOR DEFENSE OF DEMOCRACY
How Biden, Congress can stop the UN from legitimizing antisemitism
Richard Goldberg
December 7, 2022

United Nations officials urged countries in October and November to reject the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism, the global benchmark for identifying anti-Jewish prejudice. The call to reject the IHRA definition reflects a split within the UN, where some officials are moving firmly against antisemitism, while others have adopted practices that are antisemitic per the definition. On October 6, 2022, E. Tendayi Achiume, then UN Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, reported to the UN General Assembly that despite widespread endorsement of the IHRA definition across Europe and North America, it “has become highly controversial and divisive owing to its susceptibility to being politically instrumentalized and the harm done to human rights.” READ MORE

Elon Musk’s Twitter Has Created More Hate Speech, According To Group That Says So And That’s That

Hand it to the Anti-Defamation League. There isn’t a single other organization out there that can declare something as fact, with no evidence, and have every major news organization repeat it verbatim, no questions asked. The New York Times on Friday published the headline, “Hate Speech’s Rise on Twitter Is Unprecedented, Researchers Find.” That frightful claim was backed up, in large part, by none other than the leftist ADL, which is wildly successful in convincing anyone who will listen that Nazis are lurking in every American household. In a recent opinion piece published by The Washington Post, Daniel Kurzer and Aaron David Miller urge the Biden administration to “respond boldly to a radical Netanyahu government.” The article, written by two men whose combined titles are almost as long as the article they penned, drew an immediate reaction from people of equal pedigree, including former U.S. ambassador David M. Friedman. “Another bad idea from two guys who consistently have been wrong on U.S.-Israel policy: To punish Israel for its democracy that finally achieved a stable government. Denying the Israeli people their free will is an affront to Zionism and certain to fail,” said Friedman. READ MORE

An Arizona man who wished ‘death to all Jews’ killed his professor. A Jewish security consultant says he could have been stopped

November 23, 2022

A top Jewish community security consultant accused the University of Arizona of ignoring antisemitism as a warning sign in a case that culminated in the shooting death of a professor. “Professor Thomas Meixner lost his life because antisemitism is not being taken seriously enough,” Michael Masters, the CEO of the Secure Community Network, wrote in an op-ed published Tuesday in the Arizona Republic. Masters said the alleged assailant’s explicitly antisemitic threats should have been a red flag for the campus police, which, Masters said did not aggressively pursue criminal charges, and the Pima County Attorney’s Office, which did not file charges. JERUSALEM POST Has antisemitism in US reached a tipping point? The Jewish community was the target of more than half (54%) of all religious bias crimes in 2021 according to the FBI. This means that half of all hate crimes targeting religious groups, target Jews. And yet Jews make up only a very small percent of the US population: less than 3% of adults.
