U.S. Secretly Reviews Israel’s Plans for Strikes Against Iranian Targets in Syria
Michael R. Gordon
June 16, 2022

Israel secretly coordinates with the U.S. on many of the airstrikes it carries out in Syria as the allies face a battlefield crowded with militant groups, Iranian-backed militias and foreign militaries, according to current and former U.S. officials. American officials have said little about Israel’s bombing missions, which have been aimed at interrupting Tehran’s flow of advanced weapons to Lebanese Hezbollah and diminishing Iran’s military forces and proxies in Syria. Behind the scenes, however, many of Israel’s missions for several years have been reviewed in advance for approval by senior officials at U.S. Central Command and at the Pentagon, current and former officials say. UNHRC Commission of Inquiry: “Notably, no other country is singled out in this manner aside from Israel”

JERUSALEM POST
Israeli NGO, families of terror victims urge US to pull out of UNHRC
June 15, 2022

An Israeli legal NGO has urged the US to withdraw from the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) following the publication of a Commission of Inquiry (COI) that criticized Israel. The NGO, Shurat HaDin, representing American families of the victims of terrorism, sent a letter to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken calling on the US to “push back” against the body’s anti-Israel bias. Combating the body’s anti-Israel bias was one of the justifications used by the Biden administration when it rejoined the UNHRC, arguing that it could do so better from inside the organization rather than outside it. The wealthy, powerful, and sometimes very weird Pritzker cousins have set their sights on a new God-like goal: using gender ideology to remake human biology

The Billionaire Family Pushing Synthetic Sex Identities (SSI)
Jennifer Bilek
June 14, 2022

One of the most powerful yet unremarked-upon drivers of our current wars over definitions of gender is a concerted push by members of one of the richest families in the United States to transition Americans from a dimorphic definition of sex to the broad acceptance and propagation of synthetic sex identities (SSI). Over the past decade, the Pritzkers of Illinois, who helped put Barack Obama in the White House and include among their number former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, current Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, and philanthropist Jennifer Pritzker, appear to have used a family philanthropic apparatus to drive an ideology and practice of disembodiment into our medical, legal, cultural, and educational institutions. The Supreme Court rules that Maine cannot exclude religious schools from a program that gives private school funding to parents in areas without public schools

Supreme Court strikes down restrictions on public funding of religious schools
Marc Rod
June 22, 2022

The Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday against restrictions excluding religious schools from programs that allow public funding of private schools, the latest in a series of victories for religious schooling advocates at the high court in recent years. Carson v. Makin hinged on a Maine law that provided families in rural areas without local public schools with funding to attend private schools or nearby public schools, but excluded “sectarian” schools. The court struck down this restriction in a 6-3 decision authored by Chief Justice John Roberts, with the court’s three liberals dissenting…Rabbi Abba Cohen, Agudath Israel’s vice president for government affairs, said in a statement that the ruling should allow other states with provisions in their state constitutions blocking aid to religious organizations to “effectively feel free to now enact programs that encourage or provide assistance to religious schools on an equal basis with other nonpublic schools.” READ MORE

“None of the questions will be answered because none will be asked because the committee’s role is not inquiry but confirmation of a useful narrative”

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON
What the January 6 Committee Might Have Been
June 16, 2022

A real investigation would have ignited argumentation, cross-examination, and disagreements— the sort of give-and-take for which congressional committees are famous. In contrast, the January 6 show trial features no dissenting views. Its subtext was right out of the Soviet minister of Internal Affairs Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria’s credo: “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime”. <Its slick Hollywood-produced optics demonstrate that the committee has no interest in inconvenient facts. Why did a Capitol officer lethally shoot a petite unarmed woman entering a Capitol window? And why was the officer’s identity and, indeed all information about his record, withheld from the public? REAL CLEAR POLITICS Charles Lipson: November 3, January 6, and Mounting Threats to Democracy So far, the House committee investigating Jan. 6 has presented no evidence that Trump was directly connected to the mob’s invasion of the Capitol Building. That failure is important. But what they have shown is also important. Their witnesses have made it clear that the angry crowd, assembled on the National Mall at Trump’s invitation, was incited by the president’s rousing speech and proceeded to march to the Capitol, as he implored them to do.

Al Jazeera says the photo for the first time shows the type of ammunition used to kill Palestinian correspondent

JERUSALEM POST
Al Jazeera obtains photo of bullet that killed Abu Akleh, funeral misconduct revealed
June 17, 2022

An image of the bullet used to kill Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh has been obtained by the network following an investigation, Al Jazeera reported on Thursday. The photograph for the first time shows the type of ammunition used to kill the longtime Palestinian correspondent in the West Bank last month, the network said. Al Jazeera reported that the bullet, extracted from her head, has a green tip. A Palestinian official told the network the government will keep the bullet for further investigation. Police acted with misconduct when beating the pallbearers at the funeral for Abu Akleh, who was killed days earlier during an IDF operation in the West Bank city of Jenin. READ MORE

AL JAZEERA Al Jazeera obtains image of bullet that killed its journalist The green-tipped bullet was analysed using 3D models and, according to experts, it was 5.56mm calibre – the same used by Israeli forces. The round was designed and manufactured in the United States, experts said.

Boston Jews say a pro-Palestinian group’s map of local ‘Zionist leaders and powerhouse NGOs’ is a guide to antisemitism
Andrew Lapin

A Jewish arts group. A Jewish high school. A Jewish newspaper. A synagogue network. A major Jewish philanthropy that directs funds to mental health, homelessness prevention and refugee resettlement initiatives. These are a few of the locations on a dense interactive map of “Zionist leaders and powerhouse NGOs” in Massachusetts created by an activist group that says it aims to expose “local institutional support for the colonization of Palestine” and reveal how support for Zionist causes is a nexus point for various “other harms” in society, ranging from gentrification to the prison-industrial complex to ableism. #UNHumanRightsCouncil has a mandate not just to compile alleged human-rights abuses but to concoct a body of so-called evidence to buttress broader antisemitic efforts to label racist the very notion of a Jewish state”

NEW YORK POST
The UN continues Israel-bashing after Biden promised to stop it
Richard Goldberg
June 15, 2022

When the Biden administration last year reversed its predecessor’s decision to abandon the UN Human Rights Council, Secretary of State Antony Blinken pledged his team would use diplomatic engagement to stop its focus on delegitimizing Israel. That promise remains unfulfilled — and the administration stands on the verge of complicity in UN-sponsored anti-Semitism. If US diplomats can’t put an end to the council’s anti-Semitic circus in Geneva this month, Congress should put an end to US participation in the council. After Hamas terrorists rained down thousands of rockets on Israeli civilians last year, forcing the democratically elected Israeli government to respond militarily to defend its citizens, the Human Rights Council voted to establish a commission of inquiry into Israel. “While a new survey shows strong American support for Israel, the younger generation is far more hostile”

JNS
Israel and the US: Danger just around the corner
Shuki Friedman
June 13, 2022

A strong U.S. relationship with Israel depends on broad support for the Jewish state among American citizens. At first glance, a survey published a few days ago by the Pew Research Center shows that American support for Israel is adequate and has even increased slightly. A closer look, however, reveals a far less rosy future. Support for Israel among the younger generation of Americans is declining and support for the Palestinians is on the rise. To maintain the existentially necessary strategic backing of the United States, Israel must address the challenge of this eroding support among young Americans before they become tomorrow’s leaders and turn their backs on the Jewish state. New Ben & Jerry’s Employees Forced To Watch Anti-Israel Videos
Hank Berrien
Jun 14, 2022

Ben & Jerry’s, which has demonstrated its hostility to the state of Israel in the past, has reportedly required new employees to watch video lectures featuring Palestinian activists lying about the Jewish state. “The videos are part of what the ice cream company dubbed “Scooper Series: Social Mission,” Jewish Insider reported. “If you look at the recent escalation that took place in May of 2021, it started over discriminatory efforts to force Palestinians out of their homes in occupied East Jerusalem as part of this larger policy,” Omar Shakir, who was expelled from Israel in 2019, blusters…Ben & Jerry’s has referred to the Biblical areas of Judea and Samaria as “Occupied Palestinian Territory,” writing, “We believe it is inconsistent with our values for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to be sold in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.” READ MORE
