Biden caught in an extraordinary lie but the media is silent

WASHINGTON POST
Our military leaders confirm: Biden misled America
by Mark A. Thiessen
September 30, 2021

After two days of testimony by our military commanders on the Biden administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, here is what we have learned: Joe Biden is (as the president once termed a skeptical town hall attendee) “a lying, dog-faced pony soldier.” In an interview with ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos last month, Biden said none of his military advisers had recommended leaving a residual force of 2,500 troops in Afghanistan. But Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., head of U.S. Central Command, both testified that they had advised Biden — as well as President Donald Trump — to keep 2,500 or more troops in the country. READ MORE

GATESTONE “Back to Pre-9/11. But It’s Worse” From the first days of its existence, the Biden administration spoke of terrorism, but seemingly to refer only to “white supremacy” and “domestic terrorism” — evidently meaning Republicans and other Americans who had voted for Trump. Concessions to Islamic terrorism quickly followed. On February 12, the Houthi militia was removed from the Department of State list of terrorist organizations and started to receive US humanitarian aid. A few weeks later, their attacks on Saudi Arabia resumed. On February 18, the UN sanctions on Iran reinstated by Trump were rescinded, and economic sanctions partially lifted. Iran could now deliver missiles to Hamas, which used them in May to launch a massive attack on Israel. The Afghan disaster was put in place. The Biden administration, unlike the Trump administration, had shown the Taliban and al-Qaeda that they had nothing to fear.

by Emily Crane
September 24, 2021

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is being dragged for “bad theater” after she appeared to break down on the House floor just moments after she voted “present” on an effort to provide $1 billion in funding for Israel’s Iron Dome. The 31-year-old made a last-minute decision to amend her vote to “present” on Thursday — going against her fellow Squad members who had opposed the bill. Moments after the bill overwhelmingly passed 420-9, the New York Democrat appeared to start crying and was comforted by fellow lawmakers. Critics were quick to accuse Ocasio-Cortez of “theatrics.” READ MORE

by Tzvi Joffre
September 29, 2021

During a discussion with students about National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, US Vice President Kamala Harris did not challenge a comment by a student at George Mason University in Virginia who accused Israel of “ethnic genocide” and defended her right to say it. The student, who identified herself as part-Yemeni, part-Iranian and “not an American,” also expressed outrage at US funding of the Iron Dome. She said America affects her life “every day” due to military funding it gives to Saudi Arabia and Israel…The student questioned why money was going to Israel and Saudi Arabia instead of to social issues in America. by Ron Kampeas
September 23, 2021

More than 30 countries sat out the United Nations commemoration of the 2001 Durban conference, notorious among Jewish groups for devolving into antisemitism and virulent anti-Israel activism. “Thank you for your withdrawal from the 20th anniversary event of the UN’s Durban Conference,” Israel’s foreign ministry tweeted on Wednesday as country delegations, already in New York to attend the annual General Assembly, gathered to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Durban…In the end, the day-long commemoration did not refer to Israel and the Palestinians; its focus was on “reparations, racial justice and equality for people of African descent,” according to a United Nations release. “Saddam Hussein’s love story with the Palestinians continued throughout the 1990s, but unhappy with Arafat’s peace with Israel, Saddam started sponsoring Hamas”

HUSSAIN ABDUL-HUSSAIN SUBSTACK
Why Iraqis hate Palestine. And how the Iranian regime forces them to love it
by Hussain Abdul-Hussain
September 26, 2021

As the world watched the US Marines pull down Saddam Hussein’s statue in Baghdad, on April 9, 2003, and as Iraqis defaced every Saddam poster or mural around the country, other Iraqis did one more thing that went uncovered. Hundreds stormed the Palestinian neighborhood in Baghdad and threw rocks on its residents, forcing them to flee. All the Palestinians in Iraq, numbering five thousand, relocated to Treybeel, on the Iraqi border with Jordan, where the UN constructed a makeshift refugee camp. The UN eventually resettled those Palestinians around the world. Today, there is barely any Palestinian who lives anywhere in Iraq. Palestinians are simply not welcome among Iraqis. READ MORE

NY Times blames powerful ‘rabbis’ for crushing AOC’s principles
by Gilead Ini
September 24, 2021

The New York Times was the subject of uncomfortable attention for its coverage of a House of Representatives vote in favor of helping Israel procure more interceptors for its Iron Dome missile defense system. In a piece that spent nearly as much time promoting the anti-Israeli arguments of the eight Democrats who voted against the bill as it did sharing the views of their 210 party colleagues who supported it during the Sept. 23 vote, reporter Catie Edmonson also focused on one representative who voted “present.” READ MORE

ALGEMEINER New York Times Publishes Yom Kippur Correction on Jewish Sovereignty in Land of Israel The New York Times issued a Yom Kippur correction for an article that had falsely stated that previous periods of Jewish sovereignty in Israel had lasted for no more than “about 70 or 80 years.” The Times historical error was the subject of an Algemeiner column, “New York Times ‘Mangles’ Jewish History as Gordis Sees ‘Incurable’ Pathology at the Newspaper.” That article reported that the Times had initially refused a correction request from the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis.

“Many Dutch parents who aren’t religious give their children Jewish-sounding names because they perceive the bible as part of Dutch heritage and are drawn to the short, decisive sounds of Hebrew names”

KVELLER
Why Are Jewish Names so Popular in The Netherlands?
by Cnaan Liphshiz
September 24, 2021

As he lists the names of his many grandchildren, Joop van Ooijen recites what sounds like a roll call at a typical Israeli classroom. Yair, Yael, Lael, Odelia, Netanya, Yoaz and Shilon are some of his grandkids with modern names, favored by the Israeli middle class. Baruch, Moshe, Elisheva and Yehuda are among the classics, popular with religious Jewish parents all over the world. But neither the Van Ooijens nor their 16 children are Jewish. They are a Protestant Christian family in a small town in the Netherlands, which is among a handful of places in Europe where it’s common for non-Jews to have names that are widely perceived as being distinctly Jewish. SAVE THE WEST
We should have remembered the lessons of 9/11
by Ken Abramowitz
September 22, 2021

…However, America seems to have forgotten the key lessons of 9/11. Who did it and why?Inexcusably, our leaders never conveyed the whole picture of the tragedy to the American people, who never received the full accounting of what happened. In the 20 years since, we were never provided with the accurate details. The government withheld and classified information that would have helped Americans to more fully understand what happened on 9/11. Therefore, we at Save The West are offering here the key lessons that our leaders refused to convey…READ MORE
