#AmnestyInternational report “so riddled with errors of omission, fact, law and basic logic that not even the #NewYorkTimes – which routinely attacks #Israel’s very legitimacy – has deemed it ‘fit to print’”

Amnesty International’s ‘woke’ racism towards Palestinians
by Adam Levick
February 15, 2022

If the 280-page report published by Amnesty International accusing Israel of ‘apartheid’ was a person, we’d say that he doesn’t have an honest bone in his body. Whilst both the Economist and Freedom House have assessed the Jewish state as a liberal democracy, with the former ranking Israel’s democracy score higher than even the United States, Amnesty, like other so-called human rights organizations which have embraced the radical left’s malign obsession with Israel, offered what can fairly be described as a conclusion in search of evidence…In fact, as CAMERA has noted, searching for the words “terror” or “bombing” or “suicide” or “stab” or “stabbing” reveals that in the entire 280-page report there is not a single mention of any particular Palestinian terrorist attack against Israelis. “From Berlin to Berkeley, many students feel they must purchase their personal safety on campus” by divorcing themselves from the Jewish homeland

‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’ Staff and Anti-Israel Bias
by Adam Milstein, James Jay Carafano and Elan S. Carr
February 16, 2022

A recent Heritage Foundation study found strong anti-Israel bias in the social media posts of “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” (DEI) officials at colleges and universities throughout the United States. These officials criticize Israel far more frequently and far more severely than they do China. Their posts about Israel exceed those mentioning China by a factor of three, and almost all of their statements about Israel express condemnation, whereas nearly two-thirds of their comments on China convey praise. These disturbing findings should surprise no one. U.S. campuses have become hotbeds of hostility toward the state of Israel as well as toward the idea of American exceptionalism, and in the radical religion of the campus, far-left professors are the priests and DEI officers are the choir. THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION Inclusion Delusion: The Antisemitism of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Staff at Universities This Backgrounder examines the extent to which DEI staff at universities express anti-Israel attitudes that are so out of proportion and imbalanced as to constitute antisemitism.

“So, indeed, where is Israel” on the new Iran Deal ?

JERUSALEM POST
Israel’s notable silence on impending Iran deal
by Herb Keinon
February 9, 2022

The last time the world powers and Iran were on the verge of signing a nuclear agreement was in the spring of 2015, and Israel’s reaction was thunderous fury…Fast forward seven years, and the world powers and Iran are again on the verge of entering a nuclear agreement. This time, however, Israel’s reaction is barely registered muted opposition...If Israel is opposed – which it is – nobody is hearing much about it. And this matters on two counts. First, it matters because absent a strong Israeli opposition to the deal, it will be more difficult inside the US for opponents of the deal to mobilize. READ MORE

ALGEMEINER Nuclear Deal Would Be Dangerous ‘Mistake,’ Bennett Tells German FM, as Vienna Talks Enter ‘Final Phase’ Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned Thursday that signing a nuclear agreement with Iran would be a “mistake” as Germany’s foreign minister expressed confidence that such a deal would make the region, including Israel, more secure.

To put it in historical terms, Putin is probably the most philo-Semitic and pro-Israel leader in Russian history.

Israel and America are drifting apart
by Leon Hadar
February 8, 2022

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has revealed what members of his country’s national security elite have been chatting about behind closed doors for quite a while. “The United States has been, and will always be our best friend,” the Israeli PM said in a speech delivered before the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) at Tel Aviv University. Then came the big “but”: “Washington has its own set of interests, which we must honestly admit do not always overlap with ours.” “We are speaking honestly and understand one another,” Bennett elaborated. America’s “interest in the region is dwindling. The United States is currently focused on the Russian-Ukrainian border and it is in a strategic conflict with China.” READ MORE

“Latest grotesque exhibition of anti-Israel vitriol among NGOs is report by Amnesty International that recycles tired, repeatedly disproven yet deliberately provocative antisemitic tropes and accusations of racism”

GATESTONE
Amnesty International Wants to End the Jewish State
by Richard Kemp
February 2, 2022

Let us be in no doubt, this report is not a criticism of the State of Israel. It is a chillingly clear manifesto pronouncing Israel an illegal entity with no right to exist. Page after page, it shows a deeply-troubling obsession with righting the supposed wrong of 1948. It calls for Israel to be flooded with generation after generation of descendants of Arabs who left in 1948, and who expected to return after five invading armies had wiped Israel off the map. Such an influx of so-called refugees would be unprecedented anywhere in the world. It would mean the termination of the State of Israel, a condition of perpetual conflict between Arabs and Jews under a single Palestinian state, and the end of the Jewish people’s right to self-determination. “Israel has been consistently criticized for its occupation of the West Bank, east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, even though they were captured in a purely defensive war”

JERUSALEM POST
To whom was the Promised Land promised?
by Neville Taylor
January 26, 2022

If the world were governed by reason, logic and conscientious adherence to the rule of law, then Professor Abraham A. Sion’s new book [To Whom Was The Promised Land Promised?: Some Fundamental Truths About The Arab-Israeli Conflict] would be a game-changer. For he has submitted the entire legal process leading to the establishment of the State of Israel to meticulous forensic examination, and he demonstrates beyond any doubt that judicial rulings from the UN, the EU, the International Court of Justice and elsewhere have often been at odds with a scrupulous interpretation of their legal basis. In short, he demonstrates with chapter and verse that the almost universally accepted consensus on Israel’s legal position regarding the West Bank, settlements and Jerusalem is legally flawed. Chicago has seen many anti-Semitic crimes these past two months

LEGAL INSURRECTION
Chicago PD Searching for Man Who Yelled ‘All of You Should be Killed’ at Jewish Students
by Mary Chastain
February 7, 2022

The Chicago Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly yelled “all of you should be killed” to a Jewish teacher and her students at the Yeshivas Tiferes Tzvi Academy on January 13. The police described the man: “Black man, 40 to 49 years old, 6 feet tall, with black hair, mustache and beard, wearing a dark knit cap, black coat, white hooded sweater and dark pants.” West Ridge is a neighborhood on the North Side of Chicago. It is one of a few neighborhoods that have seen many anti-Semitic attacks this year alone. READ MORE

The Pinch Point is Upon Us

February 4, 2022

…The upshot is that I no longer have any difficulty understanding why many young Jews and Christians in the U.S. are starting to distance themselves from Israel. They have been bullied and intimidated into remaining silent. When that crowd shouted “Zionist go home,” they were sending a message to anyone, Jew or otherwise, who would dare to speak in defense of the Jewish state in their presence. But it won’t end with Jews or Israel. Just as lies about Israeli use of force against the Palestinians have been used to portray the Jewish state as an evil country with no right to exist, lies about American history have been used to justify the same message about the United States, with terrible effect. In response to this dishonest narrative, elected officials have struggled to maintain the monopoly on force in American cities with disastrous results for the people who live in these cities regardless of their skin color. Citizenship Law gets second chance as Knesset passes first reading
by David Isaac
February 10, 2022

The Citizenship and Entry into Israel Law has a new lease on life, passing its first reading in the Knesset on Feb. 7, the start of a lengthy legislative process. The law, which essentially prevents Palestinians from “marrying into Israel,” went down to defeat during a passionate debate in July, but has been resuscitated as center-right Knesset members from both sides of the aisle consider it essential for Israel’s security and demographic stability.  The Citizenship Law—also referred to more colloquially as the “family reunification law,” first passed in 2003 and renewed subsequently each year—is designed to stem the flow of Palestinians entering Israel through marriage, usually to Arab Israelis, after which they are eligible for Israeli citizenship or permanent residency. Jewish institutions shouldn’t be hiring anti-Semites
by Jonathan Tobin
February 9, 2022

As far as Jessie Sander is concerned, she’s being persecuted for her “political beliefs.” She was hired by the Westchester (New York) Reform Temple last July but was fired 15 days later after the synagogue leadership was made aware of a blog post she co-authored a few months earlier when the Hamas terrorist group was raining down hundreds of rockets and missiles on Israeli towns and cities. Titled “israel [sic] Won’t Save Us: Moving Toward Liberation,” it contained a litany of lies and libels directed at the Jewish state, whose name the bloggers refused to capitalize. It spoke of the duty of “white American Jews” to support Palestinian liberation and rejected the right of the 7 million Jews of Israel to self-determination in their ancient homeland as “racism.” READ MORE
