“Jewish Voice for Peace co-authors new material for “Deadly Exchange” campaign”

LEGAL INSURRECTION
Anti-Semitic campaign to blame Jews and Israel for U.S. police practices towards minorities shifts into overdrive
by Miriam Elman
September 29, 2018

The virulently anti-Jewish and anti-peace extremist organization Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) has partnered with the organization Researching the American-Israeli Alliance (RAIA) on several new projects for its undeniably antisemitic “Deadly Exchange” campaign which, based solely on spurious accusations, singles out U.S. police department trainings in Israel for prohibition. JVP’s latest materials for this cross-national campaign—a 36-page report entitled “Deadly Exchange: The Dangerous Consequences of American Law Enforcement Trainings in Israel” and an accompanying interactive online database—are similar to its earlier ones that we’ve reviewed in our prior posts, including snazzy videos and user-friendly websites. by Doree Lewak
September 29, 2018

As an officer in the Israel Defense Forces, Ofir Dayan served in hostile territory in Gaza and Lebanon. But, the undergrad told The Post, nothing prepared her for life at Columbia University. Ofir, the 24-year-old daughter of Israel Consul General in New York Dani Dayan, said she is harassed and threatened over her background by the group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), and that the school is failing to protect her. COMMENTARY
Kavanaugh and the Politics of Dehumanization
by Sohrab Ahmari
October 2, 2018

Britt, Brady, Fair, and many other Kavanaugh opponents in mainstream liberal institutions are engaging in a brand of politics that denies fairness, courtesy, and dignity to the enemy. In the eyes of those who would destroy his nomination, Kavanaugh and his family are no longer human beings, if they ever were. Instead, they stand in for every social evil, every unearned privilege, every “structure of oppression,” every historical injustice. The Kavanaughs are political demons. This is the politics of dehumanization, in other words. READ MORE

“Dear liberals: Conservatives are not your enemy. The Left is”

DAILY WIRE
PragerU: Left Or Liberal
by Jacob Airey
September 3, 2018

Dennis Prager, the founder of Prager University, hosts the latest installment from the outlet, titled “Left or Liberal.” He explains and analyzes the divide between leftism and liberalism, a matter of much confusion for conservatives and progressives alike. “What’s the difference between a liberal and a leftist?” asks Prager. “This question stumps most people because they think liberal and left are essentially the same.” He continues, “But they’re not. In fact, liberalism and leftism have almost nothing in common. But the left has appropriated the word “liberal” so effectively almost everyone, liberals, leftists and conservatives, thinks they are synonymous. But they’re not.” READ MORE

UK Home Secretary will announce Hezbollah political wing will be proscribed at next week’s party conference

JEWISH CHRONICLE
UK to finally ban terror group Hezbollah entirely
by Lee Harpin
September 27, 2018

Sajid Javid [Home Secretary of the United Kingdom] is to buttress his tough stance against Islamist extremism by proscribing the Iran-backed terror group Hezbollah in full, the JC can reveal. The Home Secretary will use his speech at next week’s Conservative Party annual conference to announce the move, which has long been called for by the Jewish community and others concerned with terrorism… Since 2008, the UK has banned only Hezbollah’s so-called “armed wing”, leaving Islamists taking part in the annual Al Quds Day March in London to wave the group’s yellow flag and claim to be expressing support only for the terror group’s “political wing”. READ MORE

Trump, SWIFT and Iran

NEW YORK POST
What Trump must do to stop Europe from end-running his Iran sanctions
by Richard Goldberg
September 26, 2018

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani this week refused to meet with President Trump at the United Nations. One of the big reasons: He and his European backers are waiting to see whether Trump will force the SWIFT financial-messaging service to disconnect Iranian banks in November. If Trump doesn’t, he probably won’t ever get that meeting…Every Iranian bank has a SWIFT code, including the Central Bank of Iran. So long as these banks remain connected to the system, a door to sanctions evasion is always left open. READ MORE

“Ari Fuld’s funeral drove home the fact that Israel is just different from America, no matter how meaningful our Jewish lives there”

TIMES OF ISRAEL
Ari Fuld and my two circles of home
by Sally Abrams
September 27, 2018

…We can live meaningful Jewish lives in America — and we do. We can be passionate Zionists — and we are. But the peoplehood found in Israel cannot be duplicated…The precious few weeks I spend each year in Israel replenish me in a way nothing else can. I’m lucky to be able to do that. When I’m back home in Minnesota I savor with gratitude the abundant blessings of a life lived here. And I have a job to do — to share Israel’s story wherever and whenever I can. To support Israel from my home outside of Israel. READ MORE
