“The Democratic Party cultivates singlehood, black anger at America, Latino separatism, victimhood, group grievance, and dependency on government”

Democrats Thrive by Keeping Americans Divided, Dependent, and Angry
by Dennis Prager
November 29, 2017

…The more Americans depend on themselves or on their family or community, the more likely they are to vote Republican. On the other hand, the more Americans depend on the government—whether for a job or for economic assistance—the more likely they are to vote Democrat. Therefore, it is in the Democrats’ interest to have more and more Americans depend on the state. In other words, in almost every area of life, the better things are, the worse it is for the Democratic Party. Democrats have placed themselves in the role of benefiting from social and moral dysfunction. And they have embraced this role. READ MORE

Just another week at the anti-Israel and ill-informed United Nations: “Only six countries out of 193 UN member states fully supported Israel’s ties to Jerusalem: Canada, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, the United States and Israel itself”

JERUSALEM POST
151 UN states vote to disavow Israeli ties to Jerusalem
by Tovah Lazaroff
December 1, 2017

The UN General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to disavow Israeli ties to Jerusalem as part of six anti-Israel resolutions it approved on Thursday in New York. The vote was 151 in favor [including the entire European Union] and six against, with nine abstentions. The resolution came as the Trump Administration was rumored to be actively considering relocating its embassy to Jerusalem…She added that US President Donald Trump had until December 4th to make a decision on the embassy relocation or waive the matter for another six months...The resolution stated that “any actions taken by Israel, the occupying Power, to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration on the Holy City of Jerusalem are illegal and therefore null and void and have no validity whatsoever.” READ MORE

Kushner reportedly told Flynn to contact Russians over anti-Israel UN resolution
by Staff and Agencies
December 2, 2017

US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and Middle East peace envoy Jared Kushner directed then-adviser Michael Flynn to contact Russian officials in a bid to quash a UN Security Council resolution regarding Israeli settlements, according to reports in US media. Earlier on Friday, Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI over his contacts with Russia, in a dramatic escalation of the probe into possible collusion between the president’s campaign team and Moscow…In a striking rupture with past practice, the Obama administration refrained from vetoing the December 2016 condemnation of Israeli settlement expansion, opting instead to abstain. The rest of the 15-nation Security Council, including Russia, voted against Israel. READ MORE

Rafah Egypt-Gaza border crossing “track record conclusively disproves the widespread fallacy that Hamas is primarily concerned with the Palestinian cause rather than the cause of global jihad”

Gaza’s Latest Lesson in Self-Inflicted Misery
by Evelyn Gordon
November 29, 2017

Observing developments since Hamas and Fatah signed their latest reconciliation deal in October is an object lesson in just how much of the Palestinians’ misery is self-inflicted–or to be more precise, inflicted by their two rival governments. The first thing that happened after implementation of the deal in early November was that prices of merchandise imported to Gaza plummeted by up to 25 percent. Having your money go 25 percent further is an obvious boon to anyone, but especially for impoverished Gazans. Prices fell because, for the first time in a decade, Gazans weren’t paying taxes to two different governments–the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza–but only to one. READ MORE

BDS Lies: “There are many countries and movements throughout the world that treat women as second-class citizens…but Israel is not among them”

Why Did The Forward Give a Platform to an Anti-Zionist, Terror Sympathizer?
by Julie Lenarz
December 1, 2017

Let’s play a game for a moment. Write down individuals least qualified to share their views on Zionism, the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination on their ancestral land; and feminism, the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. Chances are high that anti-semites, terrorists and their supporters feature prominently on your list. Yet The Forward, which prides itself as the “fastest-growing Jewish media brand based in the US,” published a piece by a woman, who encapsulates all of those characteristics, to tell us: “No, You Can’t Be A Feminist And A Zionist.” READ MORE

“This is the untold story of the Jewish forgotten refugees. These Jews, who survived ethnic cleansing and were systematically expelled, were now forgotten” [VIDEO]

Remembering the ethnic cleansing of the Middle East’s Jews
by Tzahi Gavrieli
November 29, 2017

My family was expelled from Iraq in 1951. My grandfather Haim owned a successful business with several trucks, while my grandmother Gazelle ran the home. They lived in a spacious three-story house while maintaining a simple life. For years my grandparents tried to maintain a good relationship with their Arab neighbors while practicing the same Jewish traditions that had been passed down in Iraq for centuries. All this came crashing down within weeks. With the creation of Israel, the Iraqi government declared that all of their property was to be stripped from them and nationalized while the local Jewish population was to be expelled. READ MORE

Progressives: “With the launch of Zioness, I found thousands of Americans just like me”

THE FORWARD
Zioness Is Here To Stay, So Get Used To Us
by Amanda Berman
November 27, 2017

You know a three-month old movement is doing something right when it’s been maligned by both neo-Nazis and far-left anti-Semites. Since we launched in mid-August in response to the explicit exclusion of Zionist progressives from social justice movements, Zioness has been hit from all sides. At the Chicago Dyke March, our maiden voyage, we marched for women’s empowerment and against rape culture and patriarchy. But we were verbally attacked and blocked from view with umbrellas by other marchers that found the mere presence of Zionists — individuals who believe that the Jewish people have a right to self-determination — odious. “Today, the US government pours $65.1 million annually into various regional studies centers run by staffers who overwhelmingly possess strong anti-American and anti-Western biases, which they are communicating to their students”

Who is finding their way into American students’ minds?

…The Middle Eastern Studies programs widely use a supplementary curriculum guide by Audrey Shabbas, called “The Arab World Studies Notebook”—a joint publication by the Middle East Policy Council, which receives its funding directly from Saudi Arabia, and the Arab World and Islamic Resources and School Services, which is bankrolled by Saudi Aramco, the oil conglomerate. In the section on “Palestine,” complete untruths are told that are presented as though they are unassailable facts. For example, the material claims that “the Jews wanted to drive out all the Arabs.”…One has to wonder why the Muslim world, with a startling illiteracy rate of nearly 40 percent, has such an avid interest in the education of American youngsters. Michael Oren: “I personally feel Iran Deal was the collapse of American credibility in the Middle East”

JERUSALEM POST
MK Oren: John Kerry has ‘Acrid & Obsessive’ Place in his heart for Israel
by Herb Keinon
November 29, 2017

Former US Secretary of State John Kerry seems to have an “acrid and obsessive” place in his heart for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel, MK Michael Oren (Kulanu) said on Wednesday. Oren’s comments came in response to remarks Kerry made on Tuesday at a forum in Washington, saying that Israel and Egypt urged the US to “bomb Iran” before the Iranian nuclear deal that he brokered was signed in 2015. Kerry, who was defending the deal, said Netanyahu was “genuinely agitating towards action.” READ MORE
