Conservative Review: Special Counsel Mueller has an unsavory history of suspicion directed against Israel and Jews

CONSERVATIVE REVIEW
Robert Mueller’s Israel problem
by Jordan Schachtel
June 5, 2018

As the Mueller probe drags along into year two of its supposed investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, a disturbing pattern has emerged. The special counsel has become obsessed with the state of Israel. The former FBI director is deeply suspicious, to the point of total paranoia, that there is a grand conspiracy involving the Trump campaign and transition officials as potential agents for the Israelis.  On Monday, the Daily Caller reported that Mueller had allegedly coerced Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos to plead guilty to lesser charges, after threatening that he would be prosecuted as an Israeli spy. The latest #PalestinianTerror: Gaza fire kites

JERUSALEM POST
The toy that’s wreaking havoc on the South
by Tamara Zieve
June 5, 2018

Up until recently, kites were a symbol of joy, innocence and beauty for residents of Kibbutz Kfar Aza. That was until March, when some of their neighbors across the border in Gaza began using kites as a weapon, sending dozens into their community, scorching their crops and causing serious damage to their agriculture…“It’s something that costs a few shekels to make, and causes damage worth thousands,” remarked Daniel Ben-David, KKL-JNF’s western Negev regional director. Driving through the Beeri Forest, he points out large sections of the land that are blackened and burned and a large white kite on the ground; the smell of ash is dominant in the air. READ MORE

Shin Bet confirms it thwarted attempts on lives of Israel’s premier, Jerusalem’s mayor
June 5, 2018

Israel’s Shin Bet security services revealed on Tuesday that they succeeded in thwarting an assassination attempt on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat in April. Eastern Jerusalem Israeli Arab Muhammad Jamal Rashdeh from the Shuafat neighborhood was arrested on April 24, and two more suspects were arrested in the following weeks, though the Shin Bet would not identify them. The Shin Bet accused Rashdeh of plotting with terror operatives from the Syrian-based, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP-GC) to murder Netanyahu and Barkat, and to target the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem…READ MORE

He committed America’s first of Arab terrorism, changed the course of history and “was obsessed with both Israel and Jews”

NATIONAL REVIEW
Sirhan Sirhan, Forgotten Terrorist
by Warren Kozak
June 5, 2018

What was the first act of Arab terrorism committed inside the United States? If you were thinking of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six people and wounded 1,000, you’d be off by almost a quarter-century. It actually occurred 50 years ago this week, when Sirhan Bishara Sirhan assassinated Senator Robert F. Kennedy — an act that subverted the American electoral process and altered the history of the United States…The shooting took place on the one-year anniversary of Israel’s victory in the Six-Day War. This was no coincidence. READ MORE

“The companies featured in Solution Nation are addressing acute pain points — blindness, amputations, food shortages, polluted water, radioactive contamination and more,” writes David Wanetick, author of a new book describing 62 Israeli companies developing solutions to problems “that threaten to end life itself or materially degrade the quality of life.” The self-published Solution Nation: One Nation is Disproportionately Responding to the World’s Most Intractable Problems  has a different focus than Avi Jorisch’s Thou Shalt Innovate, recently ranked No. 1 by Amazon in three categories. BDS Umbrella Group Linked to Palestinian Terrorist Organizations
by Armin Rosen and Liel Leibovitz
June 1, 2018

Over the past decade, as the prospects of peace between Israelis and Palestinians became ever slimmer, there has been a growing attention to—and, in some quarters, acceptance of—the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement targeting Israel, or BDS. Those drawn to the cause have likely come across the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, a Virginia-based nonprofit organization that serves as the American umbrella group of the BDS movement and is arguably the most prominent promoter of BDS in the United States. The US Campaign, which is officially called Education for Just Peace in the Middle East, coordinates the efforts of 329 different pro-BDS organizations…READ

THE LID Women’s March Founder Tamika Mallory: Israel’s Creation A Human Rights Crime If the name sounds familiar, it may be because New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand praised anti-Semite Tamika Mallory and her fellow Jew-hater Linda Sarsour in the 2017 Time Magazine Time 100 issue. Ms. Mallory is also one of the founders of the “Women’s March” and a friend of Louis Farrakhan. Last month Tamika Mallory took a trip through Israel along with Judea and Samaria, seemingly with the purpose of learning new ways to be anti-Semitic and anti-Israel. She did not disappoint.

“Pro-Palestinian online activists set off internet storm with claim American-born Rebecca shot dead #RazanNajjar on Friday, but she hasn’t been in army for years and wasn’t a sniper”

TIMES OF ISRAEL
IDF vet gets death threats after she’s falsely accused of killing Gaza medic
by Judah Ari Gross
June 3, 2018

A demonstrably false claim started spreading on social media sites around the world on Friday night, accusing a long-since-released IDF soldier, Rebecca, of being the sniper who shot dead a Palestinian medic during violent clashes along the Gaza border earlier that day. Amid widespread Palestinian and international anger over the killing of Razan Najjar, a 21-year-old volunteer paramedic, during a riot along the security fence, the baseless accusation about Rebecca spread rapidly on social media, prompting threats against the former servicewoman, her friends, and family members. “So long as Gaza continues to be governed by Hamas’s rule of the jungle, no Palestinian civil society, let alone a viable state, can develop”

JERUSALEM POST
It is not the economy, stupid
by Efraim Karsh
June 3, 2018

No cliché has dominated the discourse on the Gaza situation more than the perception of Palestinian violence as a corollary of the Strip’s dire economic condition. No sooner had Hamas and Israel been locked in yet another armed confrontation over the past weeks than the media, foreign policy experts and politicians throughout the world urged the immediate rehabilitation of Gaza as panacea to its endemic propensity for violence…While there is no denying the argument’s widespread appeal, there is also no way around the fact that it is not only completely unfounded but the inverse of the truth.
