“There is no reason why anyone should give Ben Rhodes a megaphone to oppose current U.S. foreign policy toward Iran”

WASHINGTON EXAMINER
Noted liar Ben Rhodes touted as Iran expert by media
by Becket Adams
January 6, 2020

Either the press has a very, very short memory or it enjoys the abuse. These are the only explanations for why newsgroups are giving former Obama White House staffer and admitted liar Ben Rhodes a platform to discuss the United States’ long-overdue response to recent Iranian provocations…The Atlantic is not the only place where Rhodes, who is quite literally famous for lying to reporters, has resurfaced following the killing of Iranian Quds Force leader Qassem Soleimani. In the three days since Soleimani’s death, Rhodes has appeared on both CNN and MSNBC to offer his uniquely dishonest brand of analysis. READ MORE

Iran seeks to end direct clash with America and return to an asymmetrical comfort zone
by Yaakov Lappin
January 8, 2020

The wave of Iranian ballistic missiles that struck two military bases in Iraq early on Wednesday that house U.S. personnel was a clear Iranian attempt to conclude the current phase of escalation with Washington. The missiles failed, intentionally or not, to cause any casualties, after days of warnings by Iranian officials saying that U.S. military targets would be hit—possibly an early warning designed to decrease the chance of victims when the strikes actually came. Still, they were an exhibit of accurate Iranian firepower.READ MORE

WALL STREET JOURNAL Joe Lieberman: The Democrats and Iran Why can’t the party’s candidates simply admit Qasem Soleimani’s death makes Americans safer?…President Trump’s order to take out Qasem Soleimani was morally, constitutionally and strategically correct. It deserves more bipartisan support than the begrudging or negative reactions it has received thus far from my fellow Democrats. The president’s decision was bold and unconventional. It’s understandable that the political class should have questions about it.

NATIONAL REVIEW Mourning Soleimani, from Hollywood to the Campus Now that Qasem Soleimani’s mortal coil has reached room temperature, and he is enjoying the fruits of his martyrdom, sympathizers everywhere are mourning him and praising him. His postmortem fan-club members are all denizens of the Left — media figures, celebrities, politicians, and especially academics. Their somber, cliché-ridden eulogies range from stupid Twitter commentary to well-written articles, with praise for Soleimani, unalloyed contempt for Donald Trump, and dire predictions of retribution in the days ahead.

WALL STREET JOURNAL Editorial Board: Biden Places His Iran Bet He comes down against the Soleimani raid and predicts Mideast chaos…That was some speech Tuesday by Joe Biden. The Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President wrapped himself tightly in Barack Obama’s Iran policy, called Donald Trump’s strike against Iranian General Qasem Soleimani a “debacle,” and all but declared that Mr. Trump is the greatest single danger to world order. As election bets go, this is a big one.

New York City march on antisemitism: “That the march drew together so many disparate elements of the Jewish community also may have stemmed from careful planning”

THE NEW YORK JEWISH WEEK
25,000 People March Against Anti-Semitism In New York City
by Doug Chandler
January 6, 2020

Joined by city & state officials, marchers from disparate parts of the Jewish community came together today to protest a recent rise in anti-Semitic incidents here…“It’s very chill,” said Zachary Braiterman of the Upper West Side, who noticed the crowd’s diversity. “You got your Trumpers; you got your anti-Trumpers; you got your Zionists; you got your anti-Zionists; you got your ‘normals,’” he said. Braiterman himself, a professor of Jewish studies at Syracuse University, came to the rally with fellow members of Congregation Ansche Chesed, one of hundreds of participating groups and institutions. Chicago blogger Richard Baehr: “Bari Weiss may not be long for the New York Times, if she keeps calling out the likes of Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton and other such anti-Semites. She is also not a fan of the President, but for different reasons.”

Listen to Weiss’s observations, including “Antisemitism isn’t about Jews. Antisemitism represents the broken-ness of a culture.”

Netanyahu, in apparent stumble, calls Israel ‘nuclear power’
January 5, 2020

In an apparent slip of the tongue on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Israel as a nuclear power before correcting himself with a bashful nod and an embarrassed smile. Israel is widely believed to have an atomic arsenal but has never confirmed or denied that it has nuclear weapons, maintaining a so-called policy of ambiguity on the issue for decades. READ MORE

Israeli Archaeologists May Have Uncovered Bustling Jerusalem Market from the Time of Jesus
by Emily Jones
January 6, 2020

The Israel Antiquities Authority believes it may have found a 2,000-year-old market next to the recently discovered Pilgrimage Road in Jerusalem that Jesus and other Jews once walked on to get to the Second Temple. The authority announced on Monday that archaeologists have uncovered a large paved area along the Pilgrimage Road leading up to the Second Temple. The open area is believed to have been the main square of Jerusalem’s lower city where a busy market once stood. Researchers uncovered several rare items in the City of David National Park that support their theory. READ MORE

When will American Jewry wake up?
by Caroline B. Glick
January 3, 2020

Liberal American Jews need to realize their local and national leaders have been lying to them. For years American Jewish leaders at the national and local levels have been peddling the claim that the ideological and political right poses the greatest threat to the American Jewish community. Not only does the rolling pogrom in New York put paid this lie, but the raw data, collected since the start of the century, also shows this is incorrect. Repeated surveys by the Anti-Defamation League show that African Americans are on average around twice as likely to be anti-Semitic as the general population. Repeated Pew and Gallup surveys show that liberals and Democrats are increasingly anti-Israel and hostile to Jews and conservatives and Republicans are increasingly pro-Israel and hostile to anti-Semites. READ MORE

TIMES OF ISRAEL Benjamin Anthony in Monsey: To be seen we must first see each other The book of contemporary American Jewry has an end that is yet to be written. But the pages of this moment are filled with tales of Jews who are embattled, Jews who are being assailed, slashed, stabbed, shot and killed for being Jewish. The story is punctuated by Jews who allow fissures to emerge among their own number, Jews who talk past one another, Jews who fail to see one another, Jews who no longer recognize their own brother – or sister. We banish one another not because of the presence of political difference but because of the absence of respectful political discourse.

New Israeli Cancer Treatment Has a 100% Tumor Shrinkage Rate
by Loukia Papadopoulos
January 1, 2020

Israeli firm Alpha Tau Medical has developed a new cancer treatment that attacks tumors while sparing healthy tissue. The treatment is called Alpha DaRT (Diffusing Alpha-emitters Radiation Treatment), according to The Jerusalem Post. Alpha DaRT uses, for the first time, alpha radiation for solid tumor treatment…ALPHA DaRT technology uses the radioactive decay of an isotope called radium-224 to power the spread of alpha particles across entire tumors. This makes ALPHA DaRT technology a powerful cancer-killing agent with minimum side effects. This limits collateral damage during cancer treatment. READ MORE

Christians Beheaded for Christmas, The West Goes Back to Sleep
by Giulio Meotti
January 5, 2020

Martha Bulus, a Nigerian Catholic woman, was going to her bridal party when she was abducted by Islamic extremists of Boko Haram. Martha and her companions were beheaded and their execution filmed. The video of the brutal murders of these 11 Christians was released on December 26 to coincide with Christmas celebrations. It is reminiscent of the images of other Christians dressed in orange jumpsuits bent on their knees on a beach, each being held by a masked, black-clad jihadist holding a knife at their throats. Their bodies were discovered in a mass grave in Libya. READ MORE

Ilya I. Feoktistov’s new book, ‘Terror in the Cradle of Liberty,’ tells a harrowing story of uncovering Muslim terror organizations in Boston. What’s even scarier is how the media and community organizations wanted to look the other way

How A Small Group Of American Citizens Exposed Terror And Antisemitism In Boston
by Kyle Shideler
December 20, 2019

…The story of how they came to be involved in investigating Islamic extremist cells in Boston, as told in Terror in the Cradle of Liberty: How Boston Became a Center for Islamic Extremism is really three stories in one. Firstly, it is the story of Jacobs, Feoktistov, and a small coterie of Boston activists who, while chasing a seemingly pedestrian story of a “sweetheart land deal” between the Boston government and a local city mosque, The Islamic Society of Boston, stumbled into a radical network that would foster more than one dozen terrorists in the past two decades, including the notorious Boston Marathon bombers, Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
