“I’m wondering if any of the American Jews who are taking to social media and marching through our streets in support of BLM have any idea that the movement is, of course, blaming Jews for all of this”

AMERICAN THINKER
D.C. Mayor and Democrats Take a Page Out of the Palestinian Authority’s Playbook

by Lauri B. Regan
June 7, 2020

…Young and old, people across the country are now being called racists lest they publicly support the “protests” by Black Lives Matter, an anti-Semitic movement that calls Israel an “apartheid state,” accuses its Jewish citizens of committing “genocide,” and supports the anti-Semitic boycott, divestment and sanctions movement designed to destroy Israel. Our children are being indoctrinated with lies about what that BLM organization is and what is actually happening on America’s streets – from lies about systemic police racism to the idea that the protestors are peaceful citizens with reasonable demands. In fact, even Nickelodeon and Sesame Street have joined the bandwagon of brainwashing our nation’s youngsters. READ MORE

by Zachary Keyser
June 12, 2020

The Trump administration and Israel coordinated the executive order authorizing US sanctions against International Criminal Court (ICC) employees who launched an investigation into whether US forces committed war crimes in Afghanistan…Sourcing Israeli officials, Ravid added that the main reasoning for Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit to Israel last month was to accomplish this exactly…Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yuval Steinitz, the minister responsible for defending the Israeli side against the ICC, were both present at the meeting in Jerusalem and, according to the report, Steinitz pushed Pompeo to issue sanctions against officials within the international court right then and there. “We as black Americans need to stop letting people with no real interest in our well-being tell us how to behave toward our Jewish cousins”

TIMES OF ISRAEL
The Palestinian appropriation of black pain
by Joshua Washington
June 8, 2020

Among the black civil rights leaders, those who are anti-Israel tend to see a similarity between their struggle and the Palestinian struggle. Beside the fact that the notion is absolutely false, it is intentional. Arab leaders have sought to hijack black narratives to legitimize their cause since the 60s. That is why Mahmoud Abbas refers to Israel as “racist,” and compares it to the Jim Crow laws America used to have. Such a propaganda campaign is only effective amongst the “color consumed.” If one is color consumed, all Israel’s enemies have to do is to get them to see Israel as a country of white EuropeansREAD MORE

ELDER OF ZIYON Vic Rosenthal: Being an Ally Works Both Ways I feel compelled to say that BLM’s primary cause is just. I don’t know if proportionately more blacks are killed by law enforcement than whites, because there are persuasive statistical arguments made on both sides. But every black American that I’ve ever talked to about this – and they have been primarily well-educated, middle-class black people – can recount numerous anecdotes about harassment, humiliation, and fear at the hands of police officers.

AIPAC denies overlooking congressional criticism of planned Israeli annexation of West Bank areas
by Jackson Richman
June 12, 2020

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the top pro-Israel lobby, has denied a report that it gave permission to U.S. lawmakers to criticize Israel ahead of the Jewish state’s expected move to apply sovereignty to parts of the West Bank, also known as Judea and Samaria, where Jewish settlements are situated. The Jewish Telegraphic Agency cited both a congressional aide and an AIPAC donor this week that the lobby told members of Congress, via Zoom meetings and phone calls, that it won’t stand in their way if they choose to criticize Israel’s plans to annex parts of the West Bank by July 1. This was apparently contingent, according to the JTA report, on these legislators not linking their criticism to or making it conditional on U.S. aid to Israel. READ MORE

by Staff
June 13, 2020

Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Saturday commended an Israel Defense Forces soldier who intervened to help a Palestinian man in the West Bank flee a group of young Jewish men who were assaulting him. The soldier, from the Golani infantry brigade, came to the man’s aid Friday in the city of Hebron. The incident occurred during a violent confrontation in Hebron between Palestinians and Jews, the army said. “The Golani soldier who defended a Palestinian resident of Hebron acted as every IDF soldier and commander is expected to,” Gantz wrote on Twitter. Rapper Ice Cube tweets meme that may reference idea that “black people — not present-day Jews — are the true descendants of biblical Israelites”

Rapper Ice Cube posts series of anti-Semitic memes on Twitter
by Ari Feldman
June 10, 2020

The rapper Ice Cube courted controversy on Twitter Wednesday after tweeting out a series of memes linking Judaism to occult worship and implying that modern-day Jews are not descended from ancient Israelites…Several of those tweets, posted within minutes of one another, seemed to target Jews…The tweets came two days after Ice Cube tweeted an image of a mural that critics have called anti-Semitic. The mural, which was removed from a London wall in 2012 over complaints of anti-Semitism, depicts men with prominent noses sitting around a monopoly board resting on the backs of black people. Catholic Priests, Orthodox Jews Sue Cuomo & De Blasio over Coronavirus Restrictions
by Mairead McCardle
June 12, 2020

Two Catholic priests and three Orthodox Jewish congregants have filed a lawsuit against New York governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City mayor Bill de Blasio in federal court, alleging that the state’s response to the coronavirus pandemic violated the constitutional rights of religious New Yorkers. Catholic priests Steven Soos and Nicholas Stamos, from upstate New York, and Orthodox Jewish congregants Elchanan Perr, Daniel Schonborn, and Mayer Mayerfeld, from Brooklyn, filed the suit alleging civil-rights violations in the Northern District of New York. In addition to Cuomo and de Blasio, it also names state attorney general Letitia James as a defendant. READ MORE

How can Hamas and its supporters around the world continue to complain about poverty and misery when new shopping malls and supermarkets filled with clothes, and various types of luxury goods are being opened every few weeks in the Gaza Strip?

The Gaza They Do Not Want You to See
by Bassam Tawil

The Palestinian terror group Hamas has warned Palestinians in the Gaza Strip not to publish photos from the Gaza Strip on social media platforms. In a June 9 statement, the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Interior claimed that “Israeli intelligence agencies have been asking residents of the Gaza Strip — through social media — to use their mobile phones to take pictures of various places in the Gaza Strip.” Hamas warned Palestinians against complying with the alleged Israeli request and claimed that Israel was using social media accounts to “recruit collaborators and obtain information.” READ MORE

“The left’s effort to take down New York Dem Rep. Eliot Engel will be a test case for the ability of the party establishment to keep a pro-Israel veteran in a majority minority district”

Can Pro-Israel Democrats hold off an AOC clone?
by Jonathan Tobin
June 10, 2020

…Right now, [Eliot] Engel, who has held his seat since 1988, is in serious trouble. After 32 years in Washington, he is a bit complacent and out of touch with his district. Though the 16th district has a significant Jewish population with an estimate of 11.7 percent of voters there, it is a majority minority district with 34 percent of its eligible voters being African-American and 24 percent Hispanic. The district’s minority voters have gone along with the choice of the party establishment for years. But as was the case with AOC’s upset of Crowley, whose district’s makeup was roughly similar, that acquiescence may crumble once an energetic minority candidate is ready to challenge a white incumbent. An inconvenient truth: “Cops save lives and keep New York City safe for all residents—especially the most vulnerable”

CITY JOURNAL
Why We Need the Police
by Heather MacDonald
June 8, 2020

“How lovely when we see the police! They are my friends.” So said an elderly lady attending a police-community meeting in the Bronx several years ago. Her voice is representative of the thousands of senior citizens, middle-aged workers, and small-business owners who fervently support the New York Police Department. These vulnerable New Yorkers want more police presence, not less; they view officers as their only protection against predation. What will the activists seeking to defund the NYPD tell these law-abiding residents—that they are now on their own? The people who live in high-crime neighborhoods understand more about policing than the anti-cop agitators. READ MORE
