Israel’s F-35 Stealth Fighters Can Strike Iran At Any Moment
by Sebastien Roblin
November 9, 2019

…Lockheed-Martin has mostly refused to allow major country-specific modifications to the F-35, despite the hundreds of millions of dollars foreign F-35 operators contributed to the aircraft’s development…Israel, however, managed to carve out an exception. Though not an investor in the F-35’s development, Tel Aviv was nonetheless quick to sign on to the program with an initial order of fifty. It also negotiated a favorable deal in which billions of dollars worth of F-35 wings and sophisticated helmet sets would be manufactured in Israel, paid for with U.S. military aid. Furthermore, depot-level maintenance will occur in a facility operated by Israeli Aeronautics Industries rather than at a Lockheed facility abroad. READ MORE

Next up on Netflix, “this Swiss movie seems to deride both Judaism and women in equal measure”

HEY ALMA
Netflix’s ‘The Awakening of Motti Wolkenbruch’ is a Misogynistic Dumpster Fire
by Lior Zaltzman
November 5, 2019

The Awakening of Motti Wolkenbruch, Switzerland’s submission to the Academy awards and the Jewiest movie to hit Netflix in a long while, has a lot going for it. It has a superb cast of actors, led by Jewish cutie Joel Basman. It has great cinematography and that 4th-wall-breaking narration all the cool Netflix kids love. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, there’s no other way to say this — Motti is another trash film that aggrandizes men and their romantic pursuit at the expense of Jewish women. This dumpster fire of a movie offers us only 2D caricatures of women in this year of our lord *checks notes* 5780, I mean 2019. A cautionary tale: Jews and Arabs lived together under a single administration in Mandatory Palestine for 28 years and it was a catastrophe.

JERUSALEM POST
The Delusional One-State Solution
by Matthew Mainen
November 4, 2019

As widespread protests plunge Lebanon into political crisis mode once again, we are reminded that multi-ethnic democracies in the Middle East aren’t exactly a model of good governance. Those looking for solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict should take note, and this should give pause to advocates of the one-state solution. As the name implies, the one-state solution centers on creating a harmonious binational state, with an almost certain Palestinian majority, between the Mediterranean Sea and Jordan River. It is supported by prominent Palestinian-Americans like Women’s March co-founder Linda Sarsour and Electronic Intifada head Ali Abunimah. READ MORE

Professor Jason Hill: A gay man’s moral defense of heterosexuality

FRONT PAGE MAG
In Praise of Traditional Gender Identity
by Professor Jason D Hill
Wed Nov 6, 2019

We are witnessing a moment in Western civilization when heterosexuality is under assault. It is being reconstructed and used as a scapegoat for every neurosis one twists in agony over on a psychologist’s couch, and every setback one experiences in the name of some vague concept called “intersectionality.” We are living in a precarious moment when masculinity is denounced as toxic and rapacious, a moment when people are forgetting that it was mostly men who risked their lives to create Western civilization…One of the most annoying questions I am often asked is: How can you be gay and be a supporter of traditional gender roles and identities, and believe that heterosexuality and masculinity in the civilized Western democracies are becoming endangered phenomena?  READ MORE

Chicago area Jews and Jewish facilities surveilled by Iranian regime; indictment doesn’t identify targets

2 Iranians accused of spying on Jewish, Israeli targets in US plead guilty
by Staff
November 6, 2019

Two Iranians who were charged with collecting information on Israeli and Jewish targets in the US and on opponents of the Iranian regime have pleaded guilty to acting on behalf of Tehran, the US Justice Department announced Tuesday. Ahmadreza Mohammadi-Doostdar, 39, a dual US-Iranian citizen, and Majid Ghorbani, 60, an Iranian citizen and resident of California, were arrested last year… The indictment states that on or about July 21, 2017, Doostdar carried out surveillance and took photos at several Jewish centers in Chicago, including the Hillel Center and the Rohr Chabad House, where he is accused of taking detailed pictures of the security measures, and the Hillel Center. Israel’s top court upholds deportation of Human Rights Watch official
November 5, 2019

Israel’s Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld a government decision not to renew the work visa of a Human Rights Watch official and he will have to leave the country within 20 days or face deportation, his lawyer said. The unanimous three-judge decision supporting the Israeli government’s move against Omar Shakir, a U.S. citizen who represents HRW in Israel and the Palestinian territories, was published on the court’s website. Shakir had contested the government’s argument that his past pro-Palestinian statements constituted current backing for anti-Israel boycotts. Israel says that Shakir supports the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. READ MORE

ALGEMEINER Adam Milstein: How BDS Mainstreamed Antisemitism on the American Campus — and Beyond Antisemitism did not die with the fall of Nazi Germany and its mass murder of six million Jews. The ancient hatred of the Jewish people has mutated like a deadly virus and now infected many college campuses across the US as a mainstream movement — and was embraced at a national conference at the University of Minnesota last weekend. The conference was held by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), which has been one of the main drivers of the antisemitic and anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement on American college campuses.

“The New Israel Fund is seeking to create an alternative to Federations by allowing donors to give money to exactly the kind of groups that mainstream philanthropies want no part of”

New Israel Fund’s war on Jewish life
by Jonathan S. Tobin
November 4, 2019

According to the Forward, the rationale for the New Israel Fund’s push to create an alternative philanthropic system can be explained by what a Philadelphia psychologist named Roy Idelson considered to be a reasonable request. He wanted his local umbrella Jewish philanthropy—the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia—to allow him to use its foundation to donate money to an entity of his choice, IfNotNow [a request ultimately denied by Federation]. A number of federations and many others operate foundations that allow their supporters to create so-called “donor-advised” philanthropic funds to funnel money to nonprofit groups of the individual’s choice. READ MORE

Omar rails against the West that had zero to do with her own people’s barbarism. By the way, it was the “Western Imperialists” that rescued her family and gave them asylum

Omar Rails Against “Western Imperialism”
by John Hinderaker
November 4, 2019

Yesterday Bernie Sanders held a rally on the campus of the University of Minnesota, at which he was introduced by Ilhan Omar. Attorney General Keith Ellison also appeared in support of Sanders’ presidential campaign. The rally was successful, with thousand of adoring far-leftists attending. Omar sounded like an unreconstructed Marxist, calling for “a mass movement of the working class” and assuring her listeners that Sanders will “fight against Western imperialism.” It’s 1969 all over again! ISRAEL HAYOM Clifford May: Selective anti-imperialism Right now, people in Hong Kong, Iraq and Lebanon are putting their lives on the line in struggles against oppressive empire builders. Ms. Omar, Mr. Sanders and others who fancy themselves anti-imperialists show not the slightest concern for them.

“Some in the Trump administration believe that the Lebanese Army is as likely to collaborate with Hezbollah as resist it”

JEWISH PRESS
In Slap to Hezbollah, Trump Halts Aid to Lebanese Army, Ignoring Congress, State Dept., Pentagon
by David Israel
November 3, 2019

The Trump White House on Thursday froze a $105 million in security aid for the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), at a time when the country is in the midst of a political and economic crisis, with its prime minister having just resigned following several weeks of riots. Despite the similarity between this arms freeze and the “quid pro quo” of which President Trump is being accused in halting military aid to Ukraine, the freeze of aid to the LAF appears to be based on a sound evaluation of its real value in resisting the greatest threat to Lebanon’s democracy: the terrorist group Hezbollah. Islamic slave markets flourish with high tech help
by Christian Larnet
November 3, 2019

It has been going on for years; the UN says it is fighting modern slavery, and international civil servants are either corrupt or incompetent, because nothing changes. The BBC has discovered Islamic slave markets on Instagram and other applications. A secret investigation by BBC News Arabic revealed that domestic workers are being bought and sold illegally online and that the market is booming, thanks to new technologies. READ MORE
