Palestinian teen who slapped soldier sentenced to 8 months in prison

Palestinian teenager Ahed Tamimi was sentenced to eight months in prison after a military court on Wednesday approved a plea bargain in which she admitted to assaulting an IDF soldier and other charges. During the hearing at the Ofer military court, an unnamed Israeli supporter of Tamimi slapped the military prosecutor and was arrested for questioning, police said. Tamimi, 17, was arrested four months ago after being filmed slapping and shoving IDF soldiers in her West Bank village of Nebi Saleh.
