Obama tried to stop the selling of guns to everybody, but it was the weapon lobby which is mightier than the president and the Democratic Party. That there are extremist Christians, Muslims, or even extremist right wing people who want to oppress others is not the fault of the president. You should blame the environment that did not notice in time when somebody is or was going wrong and did not act appropriately.
