Rutland, Vt. concerns on taking Syrian refugees have validity

Earlier this month, the Board of Alderman in Rutland, Vt. balked at a secret plan by that city’s mayor to settle 100 Syrians in their town in October. Some residents in Bernie Sanders’ state are concerned, according to the Boston Globe, about terrorist infiltration, disease, and competition for jobs and services. There is another reason to be concerned, especially for the Jewish community: studies show that for decades, Syrian schools have been teaching Syrian children hatred for Israel and Jews. READ MORE
