Congress must reject Iran deal for the troops

Last January I posted an article about Brian Mast, a 12-year US Army Special Operations veteran (Afghan War Hero Who Lost Both Legs Begins IDF Volunteer Stint). Brian is now running for Congress in Florida’s 18th District.

….Unfortunately, U.S. armed forces often bear the load of ill-formed foreign policy decisions. Kerry’s gutless negotiation has undermined U.S. military might, built on the last breaths of servicemen and women who served with the commitment of their warrior ethos…Congress must now find within themselves the selfless dedication with which U.S. soldiers uphold this ethos on the battlefield. Historically, the U.S. has fought Iran through its network of terrorist proxies — from the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, to their supply of weapons and IEDs seizing the lives and limbs of our soldiers at war. The only real accomplishment in this nuclear deal is the capital gain Iran will now wield to further combat U.S. troops. Kerry has, in essence, funded Iranian support of Islamic groups like Hezbollah, to continue their proxy war against the U.S. and our allies.
