American NGOs Rally Behind Groups Accused by Israel of Terrorism

A battle is raging over Israel’s declaration that six Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGO) are fronts for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a U.S.-designated terrorist group. Several American NGOs are lashing out at Israel for the move. But they are skating on thin ice. Some of them have worked closely with the six NGOs in question. And if Israel’s accusations prove to be true, they could find themselves in hot water. The PFLP has been listed on the State Department’s list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations since 1997. READ MORE
JERUSALEM CENTER FOR PUBLIC AFFAIRS Israel’s Designation of Six Terrorism-Linked NGOs Was in Full Accordance with International Law On October 22, 2021, Israel’s Defense Minister Benny Gantz designated six Palestinian NGOs as terror organizations that are linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The PFLP is recognized as a terrorist organization by Israel, the EU, the United States, and other countries, as it was involved in airplane hijackings in the 1970s, attacks against Israelis in the Second Intifada, the 2014 murder of five Israeli worshippers at a synagogue in Jerusalem, and many more attacks on Jews world-wide.
